[Closed] Aslan's Master Plan- Poem/Wallies

In PC this scene always inspired me, especially if you watched Aslan's eyes. So I wrote a poem describing what he might be thinking, but I wanted to make a wallie too :)

I made two versions, I might make a third- haven't decided yet

Very nice job, Wolfy! I love how you combined writing and graphics into one - very neat idea. Your poem flows very nicely, and I can see Aslan thinking that! And I really like the shot you used - I've always liked his eyes in that scene too. :)

Again, nice wallie!

Hey Wolfy,

I really enjoyed the emotion you poured into your Aslan poem. You are a gifted young writer. I encourage you to to continue with your craft. I also liked the Aslan image too. :)

Very nice, Wolfy! I love the poem; it's really beautiful. And the way you put together the pictures is very pretty; you also have very nice coloring.
My only bit of constructive criticism would be that the wallie is a bit too long for it's hight. The outside edges would be cut off when the wallie is used, and some of the text would probably be in the part that's cut off.

A great pairing between your own poetry and graphics wolfloversk. I personally prefer the first version without the added border (it just seems to take away from the focus of the imagery when the border is included).

I can't comment much on the poem itself becuase that was never my area of expertise, but the words and passages work really well with the imagery and for what the characters and feeling in that scene. On that note, your choices of imagery are great for the piece (I agree, I too have also really liked this image of Aslan- probably one of the best shots of him in the film). I personally don't care for the purple hue to parts of the image, but I think it does work to have a portion of the piece be monochromatic (as a sort of reflective matchup to the poem).

In terms of layout, I would allow for a bit more space at the top and bottom of the piece. Right now, the end of your poem sort of rests on the edge (I feel there needs to be a bit more "breathing room" there). Also, I would suggest cropping a bit more of Peter out on the left side of the image, just so that the text can be moved a bit. If you notice, the last line of the first stanza (is that the correct term?, it's been so long since I've had to write any poetry), runs right along Caspian's brow line. This becomes a bit distracting visually while reading the poem. Hmm, the way you have set up the dimensions on this piece, it might be really interesting to have printed out versions, like business cards, to showcase your poetry (then compiled all together like a flipbook). Nice work .
