I was only a NW lurker this time last year (and have relapsed back into that recently ) Anyways... my list...

-to see anticipation/excitement for VDT grow enormously
-more casting announcements (Harold and Alberta and other Lords... and anyone else they'll give us!)
-Teaser before Spring
-Trailer before Summer
-Movie poster ASAP!
-Midnight showing of VDT
-VDT a good deal more successful than PC
-SC greenlit

- Ramandu casting announcement. And for everybody else.
- VDT filming finishing on time and schedule.
- VDT being released on time AND becoming a blockbuster.
- SC being greenlit.
- HHB being greenlit.
- Getting to meet the actors if they come to the USA

-any sort of trailer (most likely a teaser) by May
-to see VDT
-more casting announcements
-SC being greenlit
Basically what a lot of other people said.

Here it goes. They are in no particular order. I just typed them as I thought of them.
1. VDT is successful enough so that SC (and the others) will get made.
2. There is no fighting on the Lone Islands. (This is a wish list and not an expectation list after all )
3. We get some answers soon instead of more questions. (MLG, the statues, how the islands have been consolidated, etc.)
4. Reep will be true to the books and have many of the same lines.
5. Lucy will be the one to go to the magician's book and will want to say the beauty spell. Aslan will stop her and she will say the eavesdropping spell.
6. The characters will act in ways consistent to the way Lewis wrote them. (Please no character assassinations like in PC )
7. Eustace will swing Reep by the tail.
8. Aslan will be done right and have the appropriate role.
9. A Narnia Trivial Pursuit game (or another form of trivia game) will be made.
10. A VDT calendar will come out (I would love a day by day one as well as a wall one)
11. I will love VDT or at least that it will largely exceed my expectations (which are rather low right now). Unless they majorly mess it up, I'm pretty sure I will at least like it.
12. A movie poster or at least a picture of the Dawn Treader with the complete sail comes out soon.
13. That more people will help me summarize the news in the Clues and Evidence thread.

I know it's not a very realistic list.

1. Dawn Treader is a huge success, artistically, at the box office...and spiritually; if they do it right, this story has AMAZING spiritual truths.
2. They keep Gumpas as the stuffy self-important bureaucrat who gets his desk dumped over, and not make him some swashbuckling tyrant.
3. They really nail the Dufflepuds' scenes; they could be HILARIOUS.
4. They keep the awesome lamb-to-lion Aslan's Country scene at the end.
5. Silver Chair gets an overwhelming green light.

My wishes:

To see the Dawn Treader on the big screen in the first trailer for VDT.

To have that first trailer and the final one be very impressive to audiences.

That the posters and advertising/publicity campaign is a good one.

That the length of the movie is just right, even if over 2 hours long.

To have VDT be as good as the book or better without too many big changes.

That Will Poulter does great as Eustace and some of my favorite scenes from the book will be in the movie.

That VDT be successful enough to greenlight The Silver Chair.

That VDT be the biggest hit of the holiday season.

That most people and especially NarniaWebbers like VDT.[/listjmgfa2jr]

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.

I think I'll ditto what everyone else has been saying.

My 2010 wishlist?
-I really want VDT to do well in theaters.
-I want it to stay close to the book but still be a good movie.
-I want an excellent trailer, and the sooner the better!
-I want a groundswell advertising/publicity campaign, that makes everybody want to see VDT!
-That certain Narnia actors find Jesus.

Hmm...my wish list, let's see....

1. Going to the premiere of VDT

2. That it will be the best movie ever!!

3. Hoping that what has been rumored about for so long in the various articles, unfathomable fate, Michael Apted's motives, and such..are not true.

4. We get a trailer or teaser, I don't really care...very soon

5. Any casting announcements that haven't been made yet.

6. Last but certainly not least....That we find out what the MLG really is, where she came from, and how she fits into the story!

Hmm, I didn't even know this thread existed. It's really interesting how similar everyone's wish lists are. Here's mine:

1. That advertising will be done well enough that a lot more than Narnia fanatics like us will want to see VDT

2. That I get to see VDT midnight opening night (not likely, though. That'll be close to finals)

3. That SC will be greenlit (like everybody else)

4. That VDT will blow everyone away, in 2D or 3D

5. That VDT will do better in the box office than at least PC, even better if it beats LWW

6. That VDT's success will keep the audience interested in and excited for future Narnia movies

7. That none of the other movies coming out around the same time will keep people away from VDT

8. That we'll get a trailer before July
