Prince Caspian as a good movie, LWW as a good adaptation. VDT had some elements that make a good movie and some parts that make a good adaptation, sadly they didn't meet very often. What they got right, they did very well. Where they strayed, it often went sour.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
Please remember no spoilers in here. We have a special forum set up for spoiler-y discussion until the film is fully released.
LWW for both the best movie and adaptation.

LWW for both the best movie and adaptation.
BBC or Walden version?
I enjoyed the Walden version of LWW the best out of all of those because it had high enough production values that quality wasn't distracting, and it stuck fairly close to the book. BBC had more "faithful" adaptions, but their lack of budget and all really prevented them from making a lot of scenes powerful.
Btw, you should add BBC's versions of Dawn Treader & Silver Chair as well as the cartoon version of LWW to the poll.
The new LWW had the money to make a lot of scenes powerful and I thought none of the key parts were... it was like the battle was the highlight... the epic part of the movie. The epic part of the movie should have been aslan stepping up in front of the sun over a broken stone table. I felt that scene was about as powerful as a muffled fart.
Anywho, so far, that LWW is the best on the list... I'm watching DT tomorrow but I don't know, I'm not getting my hopes up about it...
Yeah, I think I've become a regular ol Puddleglum I'm bummed with these movies. I absolutely love the books but the movies have lacked a certain spark... the spirit and soul of the books just isn't there. I was hoping DT would change that (that also being my favorite in the books as well) but as it sounds, it's worse... I wanted these movies to be good. I wanted the series to go on. Oh well... I'll always have the books.
SParcher44, I hope you don't mind but I edited your poll because my favorite Narnia film was not included, which, as of right now, is the BBC version of The Silver Chair (Won't see VDT til tonight). I also included the animated LWW because I some people love that one as well.
I hope we can change our vote, cause I didn't see VDT yet and it's been so long since I saw the animated LWW- that I should see it again, but I picked LWW (2005) which very narrowly won out over PC '08
If I had to rank them then:
1) LWW (2005)
2) PC (2008)
3) BBC SC
4) BBC VDT
5) BBC LWW
6) BBC PC
(yes I know that BBC VDT and PC were combined but it's so vastly different for me that I split them)
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
I will vote after i see VDT today. VDT is in fact my favorite Narnia book and story so i can't wait!
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!

The BBC PC and BBC VDT were originally shown as a 6-part TV series of 2 and 4 episodes respectively so i think its not only justifiable to consider them seperatley, but also highly recommended.
I honestly think some people have lower opinions of the BBC TV Series because they have only ever seen them in the edited "movie" versions, and so have different expectations of what to expect from "movie quality" compared to "TV series quality".
The edited formats also do the stories no favours as they were designed to be shown in an episodic format, and particularly in VDT and SC, many of the episodes contain their own internal arcs and have cliffhangers at the end of each episodes to lead into the next. The combined movie editions do the BBC adaptations a great disservice in my opinion. It would be like watching any other 6-part TV series back-to-back in 1 sitting and then judging it by the standards of a feature-length movie.
Okay I saw it! So I'll vote.
LWW is still the best Narnia movie ever made, to me at least.
I loved VDT which is why it's my second favorite.
Here's my list:
1. Walden LWW
2. Walden VDT
3. BBC VDT
4. BBC SC
5. BBC LWW
6. BBC PC
7. Walden PC
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
I would have to say that Walden LWW is first for me. Then VDT. Finally Prince Caspian. If they hadn't changed Peters personality in Prince Caspian i might have picked that ahead of VDT. I think it is an excellent movie. However I preferred the book LWW to both Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader books. LWW is my favorite of the books that they have made into a movie so far. However, VDT is still very good. It's just very different then the first two movies. As was the book, off course.
LWW 2005 version was my favorite. I think this is mainly because LWW is my favorite book out of the Chronicles.

Oh Walden's PC is my favorite too. Or at least it was before I was VDT. I have to wait for the novelty to wear off before I can accurately decide which is really my favorite. I am still leaning toward PC though.
I can't really compare Walden's films to the BBC series because I haven't really seen the BBC series. I've seen like a ten minute clip of BBC VDT and I couldn't watch it anymore. The acting and the special effects were a huge turn off for me (sorry for those of you who love it.) It didn't matter to me how faithful the BBC was, if I need it so extremely close to the book I'll read the book. My imagination can bring the stories to life better than the BBC series could.
