We're all complaining about how the film makers are producing the Narnia movies. So, if you were able to be in the production of the upcoming flims (or past films), which would it be?
For me, it would be LB. There's so much spiritual aspects I would fight to keep in. Also I'd love to create the look and feel of Aslan's Country and working out the impossibility of it all. Plus, doing the last movie and trying to make it better than the others and do it justice would be a challenge, but fun!
I think that 'all of the above' is my real answer to the question.
But interestingly enough I voted for Prince Caspian. I guess I felt like with that book to movie adaptation, I have so many (what I think are) good ideas for how to make just as good of a movie with a much better adaptation, that's what I voted for.
I wish I could do all but I voted for The Silver Chair. Reason being why i want MN to be the next film is so I could prepare my directing career and try to fight for the directors spot with SC. For one it is my second favorite book and i find it to be more adventurous. I even love the heroic journey of Jill Pole and all the characters. it would be fascinating to work on this film. I'd also make sure that the green smoke plot would not ever enter in the film and I would deffinitely fix the romance triangle of Suspian and Lilspian. I would make lilspian better.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
It would be nice if I had directed Dawn Treader the right way. Maybe Silver Chair as well.
I would want to help with HHB! I would be the horse handler, or stunt rider or in charge of the horse CGI to make sure it looked real!
Merry Christmas!
"I'm here to save Elizabeth!" ~ Will Turner
I'd help with SC. I want to choose a look for Jill. It would be emotional. I mean that SC and the underground- under- the underground must be really good and you know, Jill can react differently. So I'd help with anything for Jill.
Lucy:Do you remember who really defeated the White Witch?
Peter: Yes.
Susan:No.
Lucy:Do you both believe in Narnia?
Narnians, Caspian and Edmund:We believe.
Susan and Peter:Shut up.
Definitely MN. If I wasn't too old, I'd love to play Polly... As I am, I'd prefer to play Aunt Letty. It's always been in my top three of the books, and I think it's one that would be most likely changed for script purposes, so I'd stop them! lol
SC- either as scriptwriter or director. Slightly ironic that it is my second least favorite of the series, but I can just see it playing out on the screen in my head. And I have a few good ideas for certain sequences.
Others include LB and HHB (my fave)
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
I would want to remake VDT, but also work on MN and LB. The majority of LB is spiritual allusions (to avoid the word allegory, to which Lewis would object) and I hope hope hope they do it right! After all, Douglas Gresham had to fight so hard to get the line in VDT "but there I have another name", and that makes me worry what they would do with LB. MN is definitely has little action, and after VDT I fear they would want to change a lot about it, missing the themes of the book. Because the other books have a lot more action, especially HHB, I am not as worried.
The Horse and His Boy. Why? Because I would be playing Aravis Tarkheena. And riding on a horse. And there would finally be a cosmic WHY reason (not just a scientific HOW) as to why I look so incredibly young for my age.
Maybe I'm overambitious, but I want to be involved in making all of them. I want to direct and write MN, LWW, HHB, and LB. These four especially I can literally see how scenes should work in my head. I'd say I want to direct all of them, but that's a little bit much even for me so I'll settle for just writing PC, VDT, and SC. I have loads of ideas for these three, but they aren't quite as clear in my head as the other four.
There wasn't an all-of-the-above option so I went with LWW because it didn't have any votes.
