I think they should film SC and HHB at the same time, and then MN with LB...this way we don't have to worry about how long it'll take

I think they should film SC next. Although I like wolfloversk's idea of them filming SC and HHB at the same time, I don't think they will, because it wouldn't be two movies where you could use sets twice or even actors twice...the cast of characters is entirely different. It would also be a great financial investment after a box office showing that, while not horrible, is not a gold mine like LWW's was.

Plus, they've already gotten the audience emotionally invested in Eustace in VDT, and it would make sense for them to continue the momentum of that in SC...not to mention that

Since they keep tossing around both Silver Chair and Magician's Nephew, they need to do both at the same time. That way, they can release SC in 2012 and MN in 2013. While MN's release cycle is going, they can start shooting HHB and LB together. That way, they can get on track for a film a year for 2012-2015 to finish out the series, and also keep Will Poulter and whoever plays Jill from getting too old before their next film comes out.

They can film more than one at a time or in a row. That could work.

But which movie should they release to the theatres first? The Silver Chair.

As for two movies at the same time, I feel really nervous on the idea. I may be wrong, but I feel like there won't be as much hard work and care if there's two movies to do it. (waits for flying tomatoes)

I'd vote for SC next, myself. But I voted other, because I think that Magician's Nephew could be done at the same time as any of the others, since the only characters that it has in common with the other ones made so far, is Jadis, Aslan and maybe grown-up Digory as the Professor.

I'd agree that HHB and LB share much in common besides Calormen. We have all the Pevensies involved as adults.

There's no way Fox would be willing to spend the necessary down payments for that plan after VDT's unimpressive box office showing.

SC. If nothing else then for Will Poulter. He has to be Eustace and we can't let him get to old, now can we?

I would have liked them to film the next two together if VDT did well. However I doubt Fox/Walden would take that risk now. If SC does well, then I think the two movies after that should be filmed together and released a year apart.

I think they should make Silver Chair next, then follow it by doing the Magician's Nephew (which is what it looks like Walden's plan is). Then, if they film HHB and LB back-to-back they might be able to reuse some sets? I dont know, but ive said from the start that these two should be made one after the other so that the Calormenes are in everyone's mind.

But on the other side, the pevensie kids are still kinda young for HHB, how old were they in the book? Did CS Lewis mention that? He mentioned that Tumnus was getting old..

Well in HHB, it was about a year before they went back through the Wardrobe, so Lucy would be about 22ish, Edmund about 24, Susan about 26 and Peter about 27...the Pevensie actors wouldn't be able to pull it off yet if they keep to the book timeline.

I say that Silver Chair should be filmed next (not least because it's my favourite book ) because they've already introduced Eustace and Will Poulter to the audience, and since he's so brilliant they should do more movies with him. It also makes sense to keep going chronologically with the books, before Will gets too old. The book also has a very adapable story line for the screen IMO.

They might be able to film HHB and MN together if SC does well, and then do LB last (because IMO it would be strange to have a film showing Narnia's end and then going back to the middle of it's existance) if everything works out. Would the Pevensie's be old enough to do HHB by that point yet though?
