It sounds to me that the synopsis with the exact words of "unfathomable fate" may just be that one writer's interpretation of VDT. All of the other synopses sound right, so hopefully it's just some writer's mistake, and not an actual "Hollywood" impending doom plot twist *shudders* . VDT is supposed to be a movie about discovery and overcoming temptation...not making a journey in order to save the world from otherwise unavoidable destruction *gags*. 8-|

Actually the "unfathomable fate" sypnopsis isnt that bad.

The first two sypnopsis's seem to stray more from the book. "Lost warriors"? "Most hazardous adventure of all"?

I totally agree with everything you said. Especially the last bit. I just wonder though how with person who wrote this got that impression of VDT. I think it was written about the time of the leaked script so it was quite possibly taken from that. I was just concerned they seemed to keep that one for ages and it was the third one too. In fact I'm pretty sure Walden Media still has it up.

No, they have changed it. They're using Synopsis 4. I think they've changed the website around - again!

EDIT: LadyPolly You're right that's probably what they were referring to. Thank goodness they've said that witch wasn't any more. I would've been more against that change than any other they've made so far in the movies. Also Josh 'lost warriors' probably refers to the seven lords so I'm not too concerned about that. And the adventure probably would be more hazardous as the conditions of the sea would more dangerous than that of land also this is the first voyage in many years. So I can kind of understand that one too.

But what about this one: "they [the Pevensies] confront obstacles beyond imagination". Also one more thought. The reason it's called unfathomable fate is because it is too unfathomable for even NarniaWebbers to understand. ;) :p

"...they [the Pevensies] confront obstacles beyond imagination."

That's really not much better than the unfathomable fate version. It's more focused and true to the book but it's beyond bland and doesn't do anythign to make the reader/viewer sit up and pay attention.

At least they didn't begin, "In a world beyond your imagination..." argh!
