[Closed] What was the cheesiest line in the movie?

Only place I can think of would be right after Lucy "wishes herself away" and Aslan is talking to her about it in her cabin. I can't remember their exact dialogue.

Edited to Add: Some of the options I don't think are cheesy. One of the worst ones for me, however, is, "Edmund, what did you think of?" *POOF!* Giant sea serpent appears in the water I nearly groaned right there in the theater -- I'm pretty certain I rolled my eyes. Anyways, I voted "Other" and thus explained. ;)

I've only seen the movie once, so I'm going off of memory, but the two lines that drove me up a wall (and happened to be in the same scene!) were....

"Edmund, what did you think of?" Why the stay puft marshmallow man, of course.

And after conquering the sea serpent Lucy remarks "I knew we could do it" after praying to Aslan for help moments ago.

Neither are really cheesy per se, but they both drove me crazy. :P

I don't remember the "real boy" line but if I ever get around to watching VDT again, that might win for me.

I haven't seen the movie in English yet, but of all the lines I've heard so far, "Squirt, I'm a King!" was definitely the cheesiest. Frankly, though, that whole movie was made up of cheesy lines, at least in my opinion.

"I'm a boy again" is the worst one up there. It was pretty ridiculous. I haven't seen the movie in quite a while but I do remember rolling my eyes at that line.

Now that I've actually watched the movie, I'd be hard-pressed to pick between "We did it! I knew we would!" and Lucy's line about Gael needing to grow up to be just like herself.

I've only just watched the movie too (long story, but not because I didn't want to watch it).

I'm afraid I can't go past the line "If,if it is a distraction for you I can change form"

Drinian: "Pure evil." (outside Dark Island)

Hilarious. Caspian and Edmund say their lines and they're trying to be really over-dramatic...and then Drinian says "pure evil" in a really monotone voice, as if he's bored. One of the funniest parts of the movie. All three viewings in theaters, it made me laugh out loud.

Yikes, did you really see it three times in theater? *shakes head*

I thought Edmund got all the cheesy lines this time. It's a shame, since I had hailed Skandar as the best actor of the bunch.

I didn't vote, because there wasn't an option for "most of the lines were cheesy".

Got to agree with you there, mm1991, I thought so, too. ("Squirt! I'm a king!" Not Edmundish at all!) Although Georgie didn't handle some of her lines very well. ("We did it! I knew we would!") Coriakin had it pretty bad, too. His lines made me want to either laugh or leave the theater. ("You must defeat the darkness inside of you.") And Drinian's, of course. =))

Yeah, you can tell I didn't like the movie very much.

Pure evil that doesn't even kill the people fed to it. Uh-huh. That makes sense. /:)

I voted other because of Caspian's one line "No, not one that could compare with your sister."

gag me with a fork. It's been three years, you've only barely known her for four days, you were four years older than her the first time and now six years older, move on man!!

1. "Note to self.....inquire about legal ramifications of impailing relatives."
2. "I hope that wasn't British Council" by Eustace when he knocked the slave trader into the water.
4. Lucy to Gael "I think you should be just like you." Barf....what are we watching, Barney and Friends?

I thought you boycotted the movie? /:)

That prohibits me from commenting on the illogicality of the plot?

My thoughts on what that person has to say would break the respect rule. ;)) Probably someone that thinks the works of Stephanie Meyer are literature. :P

"Edmund, I've got a bad feeling." I immediately pictured Lucy with Princess Leia's iconic hair when she said that.

Edited to Add: Some of the options I don't think are cheesy. I just gotta say, you people are SO funny! I was laughing so hard at this entire thread.

Anyway, I voted for "Maybe you should just try being yourself". That's just such a scripted line. It doesn't sound natural it's just so cliche.

On Dragondeath Island, there is some dialogue I cannot stand.

Caspain: (on the beach, next to Dragon Eustace) Do you know of any way we can change him back?
Drinian:Not that I know of.

Just sounds a bit idiotic. Was Caspian expecting to have a spell from the Magician's book to change Eustace back, or some sort of tonic?

That's why I voted other.

I thought when they first got into Narnia, Caspian said, "You're in Narnia!" and another crew member echoes, "Yes, you're in Narnia!" We didn't realise. 8-|
"That's pretty!" was also pretty terrible... the line wasn't that bad in itself, but the way it was delivered was just painful. ~x(

UGH!

Lucy: "Look...it's a letter from SUSAN!" :D :D :D :D :D :D

no kidding

Sorry, I just despise this line...it's just plain lame. And her grin? :D :D :D :D :D ...o brother...could've done without this one, mates. (-| 8-} [-(

I wouldn't say the "letter from Susan." was a cheesy line. Without it, the shift from the parlor to Lucy's bedroom would have been awkward. If the delivery was better, the line would have worked just fine. The problem is that Georgie's grin was completely unbelievable.
