Toy Story 3 was my best guess about a month ago, and I'm still holding to it. The time frame seems right, the target audience seems right and I plan on seeing Toy Story 3 opening day which would work out perfectly. ;))

Same here. From the very beginning I predicted the trailer would debut with TS3, and I'm still 90% sure it will. Of course that would work out splendidly because that means that I will get to see the trailer on the big screen! (Yes, I plan on being there opening day as well)

Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!

TS3 would be great! I'm on tenterhooks waiting for this trailer; I'm really hoping it comes more toward the 3 weeks end of things rather than later.
I wonder will we have the official poster by the time the teaser trailer comes out?

I'm going to go see Toy Story 3 and hopefully the VDT trailer will be shown in 3D, which is another target as to why it will come out with this movie :D :D :D :D :-bd :-bd :-bd

Does anyone know who decides what trailer go before what movies? I would think its out of Walden's hands to decide what movie its trailer will be in front of.

CarazonBandidio: We receieved word that the VDT trailer is coming out in the next three to four weeks. Our best bet is that the trailer will be in front of the movie Toy Story 3 since it's in 3D and it targets the audience.

Note that the news story clearly says "could be released in three to four weeks." Don't hold to that too firmly.

The studio in charge of distributing/marketing the film make the decision of what film to premiere the trailer with, within limits. Of course they have to look at their target demographics, which film will be most effective in showing the trailer to the greatest number of people, and things like that. In this case 20th Century Fox is the distributing studio for VDT so they essentially will be the ones to make that decision.

Looking at upcoming releases, if the teaser trailer is released in 2 weeks it will most definitely be with Prince of Persia. In 3 weeks, with Marmaduke, and I definitely don't see that happening. In 4 weeks, most likely with The Karate Kid. The A-Team is also released that week, but plays to a completely different target market, although it is a 20th Century Fox film.

Toy Story 3 is released in 5 weeks, and it is in 3D as others have said, so that's a strong possibility. Although, The Last Airbender is released only 2 weeks after that, on July 2. It's also a 3D film, and will probably draw similar crowds that would be interested in VDT.

If it's not attached to Prince of Persia I would expect to see it with either Toy Story 3 or The Last Airbender, although I suppose The A-Team is a very small possibility as well.

I'm really doubting that it'll be on The A-Team. And I also doubt it'll be on Prince of Persia. It will likely be on a PG rated movie, and it wouldn't surprise me to see it on a 3D movie. The Karate Kid sounds like a good possibility, but if it's not on that one, The Last Airbender is my guess.

I am going to guess in front of a June or July Fox movie. I highly doubt Prince of Persia because that's a Disney movie and Disney dropped Narnia so why add a trailer for a movie series they dropped in front of one of their new movies? But then there is the Last Airbender, I have a feeling it might appear in front of that because it is 3D as well. The 3D is probably the largest thing they are going to promote along with "Returning to the Magic of Narnia".

I've seen a lot of people say something like this and I just thought I'd comment that Disney movies shouldn't automatically be counted out because Disney dropped the series. You see, Disney still holds the rights to LWW and PC. For all the people that skipped seeing LWW and PC that go and see VDT and like it, they may go back and pick up the first two. Disney would still make money off of that.

Also, the LWW teaser was attached to "Star Wars Episode 3", a Fox release. Previews before features are not always from the same distributor/studio - if ever. Always a mix.

Toy Story 3, The Karate Kid, and Marmaduke get my votes as likely movies for the trailer to come out with. Yes, those are all in June. I'd go for the first two as people who go see those are likely part of the main target audience for VDT.

I think it could still possibly be shown along The A-Team. It's 20th Century Fox. If not I'm still rooting for Prince of Persia, Toy Story 3 and Ramona & Beezus.

Edit: Prince of Persia is out of the picture for showing the VDT trailer. My friend went to the premiere last night and didn't see a preview of it.
