I mean, I'm not saying that the trailer won't be in front of that movie, as long as it premieres with something else first; I too have seen several movies that have trailers before them that don't really go with the movie. One of the many times I saw The Dark Knight in theaters they showed mostly trailers for horror films.

But, I still don't think it will premiere with something like Ramona & Beezus. Trailers almost always premiere with a specific movie, for example, J.J. Abram's Super 8 trailer and the new Inception trailer premiered tonight only with Iron Man 2, but within a week or two they will be playing in front of every movie that has a similar target market.

In the months approaching December I'm sure you will see the VDT trailer in front of almost every PG and PG-13 movie you go to see in theaters, but it will be first attached exclusively to some big summer action/adventure release. If I'm wrong I'll be sure to eat my words.

Actually, looking at the poster, Ramona and Beezus is rated G here in the U.S. I may be wrong but I can almost guarantee there won't be a trailer for VDT in front of it. Do G movies show trailers for anything other than other G movies? I know they can't show trailers for PG-13 and R-rated movies in front of them, and VDT is guaranteed to have a PG rating, in my opinion.

Besides by that time I don't think VDT will have a rating yet alongside it being a teaser trailer. And it's a Selena Gomez movie too for crying out loud. Kids love her and kids love Narnia. It would be a great promotion.

bkey and LH, I can possibly see the VDT trailer going before Ramona and Beezus. There have been many times I went to movies and the previews didn't match certain things to the genre of the film I was about to watch. I've seen the Band Slam preview in front of movies that didn't belong to the genre. Since it is a Walden film targeting a younger and a friendly audience I think it will go alongside the movie. I just hope it comes out earlier then that.

well, that is very true now that I think about it! when I went to see "Fireproof" in theaters, there were some trailers that came on that had nothing to do with it at all!
and Walden Media released a movie called "City Of Ember" on October 10 2008 and when I went to see PC for the first time, they showed the trailer for "City Of Ember"! so there is a chance that the VotDT trailer could be in front of "Ramona and Beezus"! I wouldn't mind because I like the Ramona books and if the movie is well done then I really wouldn't mind!

With stargazer saying he's only seen one trailer for a end of the year movie so far, I'm thinking that it may be mid May to mid June when we see the trailer.

And as much as no one wants to say it...it's very possible the first trailer could come out sometime in July.

Now that I think about it. It should be coming out in the mid June area. I don't think it will come out this month at all.

This being said, that family game that will come out with VDT footage is towards the end of June and this is how I know it. Either in the beginning of June or mid. That's my feeling on it. but June isn't that far away people. Summer always tends to go by fast anyways.

At this point, I'd think that, as most people do, the best chance(s) are Prince of Persia (5.28.10), Toy Story 3(6.18.10), or possibly, Eclipse (6.30.10).

The most likely would be Toy Story 3 or MAYBE even Prince of Persia. Eclipse, in my opinion, does not cater to the same audience as Narnia does, in my own experience.

The Last Airbender is far more likely than Twilight.

Just a thought, this probably won't happen, but seeing that there is a banner now at the Festival de Cannes, does anyone think there might be a teaser trailer this Friday with Robin Hood, which premieres tomorrow night at the festival?

My guess is that we would've heard something about it if that was the case, bkey, as we always have had a heads up on trailer releases in the past. Then again, Fox isn't Disney, so I suppose it's a possibility.

I think "Eclipse" is a bit unlikely. I'd like to think it will be in front of "Robin Hood" but that seems a bit soon; not that "Prince of Persia" is much later. But "Persia" fits in better with VDT, I think, than "Robin Hood" does.
