There are some reactions and a spy report posted over at Narniafans.com.

Thoughts on possible timing of the trailer release...I've attended 2 movies in the last week or so, and as a rule the trailers in front of them were for movies coming out in the next 3 months (May, June, July). However, one exception came today, with a teaser trailer for something called Megamind, currently set to release on November 5.

This single example doesn't really prove anything but it's possible that at least a teaser trailer could be coming in the next few weeks.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

A teaser infront of Iron Man wouldnt need to show a lot of footage. It could be 30-45 seconds long. Its a TEASER. It just shows a teensy bit to get us wondering what the movie is going to have. Then they reveal a lot more with a trailer.

The spy reports say the CGI in the Biola Conference trailer was not finished. As in some characters still had "green pants." Also, the music was from previous Narnia movies.

In a word, the trailer is not done yet.

So the trailer will not probably not debut with Iron Man 2 this coming Friday. The earliest we might see it is probably one of the June releases, or maybe something at the end of May. Fox/Walden have certainly released a lot less info thus far compared to LWW.

Don't forget - the effects shots for the LWW teaser, which was released in early May 2005 - weren't finished either. The final shot of Aslan roaring in the LWW teaser was obviously unfinished. And the shot of the phoenix lighting the battlefield on fire in the teaser didn't show any characters in the foreground, but the movie very clearly does. Fox/Walden might want to wait until more CGI shots are finished before putting out a preview.

I would respectfully disagree. The footage shown at Biola may have been specifically tailored for that audience. The actual theatrical trailer may be close to being finished or even finished and could be very different from what was shown at Biola.

But having said that, I do believe that even the theatrical trailer probably is not finished yet and June might be the earliest time for its first appearance. :)

Teaser trailer music is almost always from other movies. They rarely have the score finished for trailers.

Most teaser trailers I've seen lately range from a minute to two and a half minutes long, so I expect to see a longer "teaser" then just a 30 - 45 second trailer.

With stargazer saying he's only seen one trailer for a end of the year movie so far, I'm thinking that it may be mid May to mid June when we see the trailer.

I hope it is May 7th for a lot of our sakes, I want it so bad, about to go crazy. I've been pestering my mom too much on its' description to her and I can tell she's about to start yelling or might even slap me. :D

It's cruel that we all had to wait this long, we're probably more anxious then they are. IDK but I just wanted to get this out.

And as much as no one wants to say it...it's very possible the first trailer could come out sometime in July.

Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!

Clearly it's not attached to Iron Man 2, I think we would have heard something by now.
I'm guessing sometime in June. But as FriendofNarnia2 pointed out, it could be as late as July. Honestly, I'm not very good at conjecturing these sort of things... I just hope it comes quickly.

I can definitely see Harry Potter, Shrek, maybe Toy Story (but would Disney advertise another Narnia movie? /:)), Eclipse, and Last Airbender as movies it might appear in front of.

Also, one you Narniawebbers haven't mentioned is another Walden film, released in July--Ramona and Beezus. It isn't half as popular as the rest of the other movies, but it's a Walden film after all. Plus, it's distributed by Fox.

Okay so we all know it is not going to go in front of Iron Man 2. I really hope Andrew Adamson will promote the VDT trailer before Shrek 4: The Final Chapter.

Yeah, there was no VDT trailer in front of Iron Man 2 when I went to see it today.

I really don't see it premiering in front of Ramona & Beezus. I know it's a Walden film, but not something that you would expect to see the trailer for an adventure film like VDT in front of. Also, I would imagine Ramona has a very small and specific target market, and is not a movie that will appeal to many people.

VDT is Fox's winter tentpole film. Most of their 4th quarter profits are going to be resting on the success of this movie. They are going to want to reveal the trailer to as many people as possible in the most effective means possible. I expect to see it in front of a film like Prince of Persia, The Last Airbender, or Shrek 4; movies that will both attract a large amount of people, and have a very similar target audience as VDT.

I like the Ramona books, and might go see the movie, but I agree with bkey: the audience for Ramona and Beezus is totally different from the audience for VotDT! ;)

bkey and LH, I can possibly see the VDT trailer going before Ramona and Beezus. There have been many times I went to movies and the previews didn't match certain things to the genre of the film I was about to watch. I've seen the Band Slam preview in front of movies that didn't belong to the genre. Since it is a Walden film targeting a younger and a friendly audience I think it will go alongside the movie. I just hope it comes out earlier then that.
