I hope it comes out with either one of the movies for May. Hopefully Iron Man 2 or Shrek 4. Shrek was Andrew Adamson's franchise to begin with so I hope he gives it some media along with the Shrek 4 movie.

Well... Shrek and Prince of Persia I think for a first preview. Meaning it would be a very short preview, kinda like the one they had for Dark Knight (different... but short).
A longer preview will come out probably in June or July (but looking at the movies, I have a bad feeling they might put it in front of Ramona and Beezus... )

As much as people on here don't like it, I think there's a good chance it could be in front of 'Eclipse'. It's a fantasy movie with a major following. I also think Iron Man 2 and The Last Airbender are good contenders.
I don't really see why it would be in front of Toy Story 3, I think it's a totally different audience.
And let's not forget the Fox movies.

^^ as much as I don't want VotDT's trailer to be in front of Twilight, I think you are right! it's logcal!

I can't see it aimed so young that it'd be a good fit for Toy Story 3.
I think you are underestimating Toy Story's demographic appeal. Toy Story has been around for 15 years, so yes, it will appeal to the 8 year olds, but there will be many people in their 20's who will want to see it because it is a movie they grew up with. And of course people who are 30+ will have kids who will want to see it. So that covers just about everybody.
I think Toy Story is much more of a family film than strictly a kids film. I think Toy Story and Voyage of the Dawn Treader have very similar demographics.
^^ Ditto the above. Did you know that Disney is actually heavily marketing TS3 to college-age groups? Yes, college age folks. The people that were Andy's age in TS1 are now Andy's age in TS3, and the story has grown up too. I personally could not be more excited about TS3, and I know lot of other folks that feel the same way. From what I've been able to find out about the plot and story, it's extremely detailed and something that would absolutely grab the attention of someone my age. TS3 is going to be huge; I know it. This is the kind of movie that EVERYONE will be talking about, not just the parents and kiddies.
But anyway. I never really considered TS3 as a candidate merely because I couldn't see Disney's scorned prefacing Disney's baby. Just sayin'. Not that studios really care or control that sort of thing, but still, it would be strange.
But, if rumors are true and we could be getting a trailer in a few weeks, TS3 would make sense.
Okay, I'll admit it! I'm 20 years old, in college, and can't wait to watch TS3!
Oh, and for all those skeptical of Gymfan's comment about strongly targeting college aged people...here's a link.

This think will be huge, and will probably make close to as much as The Dark Knight made a few years ago. I really hope Narnia can get a trailer in front of it! That would be great advertising.
Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!

I'm 16 and it's the must-see of my summer.
It would be sweet if Narnia scored a trailer with TS3.
Iron Man 2 would not appeal to the same demographic as Narnia, but people are already talking about it's box office scores contending with The Dark Knight's so that wouldn't be bad. However, I don't think it's likely considering how un-family-friendly that movie's going to be.
Eclipse... bad all around. I'm going to restrain myself from a Twilight-bashing tirade and just say that the demographics don't fit.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum
I know quite a few older people (that is, with kids of their own) who are fans of both Narnia and Pixar films in general, so I think Toy Story 3 would be a natural. If Pixar's past performance is any guide, it's going to do extremely well, so a trailer before TS3 would offer a lot of great publicity. The only possible hesitation I see is the one Gymfan mentioned: a Disney 'scorned stepchild' advertising in front of it.
Prince of Persia has been advertised in front of just about every movie I've seen for the last 6 months; if it becomes a hit it would be nice to have a trailer in front of it. Iron Man 2 would also be a good choice.
I hope there's one in front of The Last Airbender as it's a movie I'm certain to see come July. It's set in a fantasy world, and I know a number of AtLA fans who enjoy Narnia too.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
^^ somehow I don't think that VotDT's trailer will be in front of Prince Of Persia seeing as it's a Diseny film and Diseny has dropped Narnia, but we shall have to see.....
I agree with you that Toy Story 3 would be the perfect movie for VotDT to be in front of! yay! I hope so! but that would also mean that we would have to wait until June for the trailer!

Now that we have news in that Walden is going to be having clips of VDT in this Vacation Bible School DVD (at least that's what I gathered from the report), I assume we will be getting the trailer...in 21 days. And that means it will appear, more than likely, in front of Iron Man 2! That's what I'll put my money on .
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
Edmund P. you've got me hyper and now I'm jumping up and down in my seat. I hope you are correct because 21 days isn't very far away. Hopefully it'll come out during the Iron Man 2 previews.

Yeah, I hope I'm correct too! It just seems logical that the production would do that. I mean, Iron Man has a huge fanbase - that means lots of people in the theatre watching the previews. I know a lot of people are saying that 'Narnia is a more kid-friendly film and it wouldn't cater to the same audience as Iron Man blah blah blah' I don't really think that's true. Dawn Treader isn't all 'sunny and blue oceans.' There is danger in Dawn Treader! Sea Monster, Dark Island, a magician who you don't know whose side he's on, being captured by slave traders. Lots of things.
Take Alice In Wonderland for a moment. The previews for that had the Prince of Persia trailer preceding it. And, I could be wrong, but I don't think that the Alice folks will be seeing Prince of Persia! So, there you go.
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
I see your point Edmund P
Then again since Narnia is not with Disney anymore, I have a feeling it's not going to be too family friendly. It may be in some parts but not in all now that 20th Century Fox took over, and Apted is directing it. I think he'll make it 5 times differently then Adamson's vision on Narnia.
