The Silver Chair should definitely come next, since Eustace is supposed to pretty much the same age as he was in VDT in SC.
I'd like to see LB after that. Besides the age argument, I think it would be good for marketing if the series needs a pick up since post-apocalypses make good money.
For a light-ish, rollicking adventure between two heavy films, HHB!
After that, MN (think of the tagline for the trailer "You've seen the end of Narnia... Now learn how it began")

True, except for one thing. The audience must suspect that the Professor has been to Narnia after seeing LWW. MN is Digory's story, and I don't think the series would be complete without it. It could technically get left out, but it makes more sense to leave it in.

They might get turned off, but I don't think so. Some of the favorite characters return in HHB. And it will be awhile since the audience will have seen them. HHB is a mini family reunion and the audience will love to see Susan, Edmund, Lucy, and Mr. Tumnus again.

They already dealt with one of the largest time jumps in the series: the gap in Narnian time between LWW and PC. Earth time is longer for HHB and MN, but there are recurring characters that the audience will be happy to see again in both.

Hope you don't think I'm trying to argue with you. I just wanted to bring in a different perspective.

First Point: What ever audience suspects about the professor form LWW they would not suspect Digory, that is, if they haven't read the books, because the only name they give him is "The Professor". Even if they do suspect something sometimes in movies some things are good to leave unsaid. Therefore, it would be possible for them to leave out "The Professor's" back story and still have a solid time line and history, not a complete history but still solid.

Second & Third Point: I was referring to people getting turned off because they would be confused, confused about the jump back in time (to put it the way I should have in the first place). If they make the MN and HHB they will have to allude to it in the story that they make before it or otherwise people won't know where they are or how they got there.

After all this I just want to say that I was looking for books that could possibly be skipped and still make LB make sense; and like I have said above they could take out HHB and the MN, if they take out all the characters that were only connected to MN. If they did so LB would still work, I didn't say ideally, but it would still work. That said I'm not saying that they should skip MN and HHB nor do I wish it so. The history would not be complete.

Oh, okay. Get it now.

I hope not either. Hopefully Douglas Gresham will be able to keep the producers interested in the series. Although they're more likely to be interested if the audience is interested which means they have to make a spectacular movie and it comes around full circle.

I vote for the Silver Chair. It's chronological, and people will want to see SC as it is the follow-up to VDT.

After that, it's hard to say. I like the idea of LB being the last-last because of its finality, but as the actors' ages have to be taken into account, that may be difficult!

The Silver Chair. It makes the most logical sense and it will keep Will Poulter from being any older than he has to be.

I must agree with Kitty The Silver Chair..

I voted Silver Chair for two reasons:
#1: it is the best follow up to VotDT because it is the next story that happens after the events of VotDT!
#2: if you read the beggining of the Prince Caspian movie companion book, Douglas Gresham is quoted saying that they will most likely make Sliver Chair next, and then from there they will see what one they will do next! :D
oh, and if they wait, Will Poulter will get too old!

I may be a little out of place just coming in here...but I hope for Horse and his Boy...I Really like that book and I think bringing in new characters like..Cor and Corin and Arivis would be awesome. That's just my opinion.

But....THERE IS one reason I'd like SC. Becuase in the end we get to see Ben again beucase Caspian turns back younger again! :)

HHB next! I wish lover of narnia. Unfortunately, the actors ages are kind of dictating which movie they make next with no room for negotiation. Do you realize how old Will Poulter at the end of filming SC if that is what they do next? Probably about 18! You see, he will to old as it is if they do SC next never mind if they did another movie in between. As a result, they have to do SC next. They have no choice in the matter if they want to keep the same actors.

I'm not sure how I want the movies to come out so I've decided just to go with whatever the producers decide and not worry about it.
What would make the most logical sense for actors would be to make SC, the LB, then MN and HHB in whihever order after that (assuming they make all seven...fingers crossed). However, in terms of continuity, it would be very strange to have the series start and end just fine, and then two more movies come out that don't really fit in with the story (don't get mad at me for this, I love MN and HHB...but from a newcomer's perspective, they don't have any of the same characters except for Aslan and grown up Pevensies who are more like side characters.
I think it's likely that they might make SC and LB and then just end the movies there. I really hope they don't, but it would make a certain amount of sense.
But whatever happens...I'm just going to leave it up to the very-debatably-capable hands of the producers.

How about Last Battle and Magician's Nephew released together? That would be neat; "come see the beginning...and end of Narnia" Do you think that would work, or would the movie be too long, or(heaven forebid)be cut short?

I saw the movie....and was disappointed

I think the movie would be too long. However, advertising the movies as the beginning and end is a good idea. They should be separate though.

I've been thinking since my last post, and I think that after S.C., perhaps it should just keep going in the same chronological order. While SC is being made, Georgie and Skandar are being given more time to age (assuming they come back in HHB?), and then by the time HHB and MN have passed, wouldn't Will Poulter and the actress playing Jill be sufficiently older?

I think the ideal order for all the reasons listed is: SC, MN, HHB, LB.
Doing SC next would complete Caspian's story and Will Poulter will be at a better age to reprise his role.
Doing MN next would allow Georgie and Skandar to finish growing before coming back for HHB.
Doing LB last would allow for the rest of the stories to be told so LB just raps up everything. And Eustace and Jill are older in LB than they are in SC, so having two movies in between would give them more than enough time to grow.
I really don't think the time jumps will be that confusing. As long as it is made known that MN and HHB are prequels(sort of), then confusion will be limited and easy to deal with.

I spose that is a good order but Will Poulter will no longer be a teenager when he does LB. Strange indeed would it be to have a Eustace as old as Tirian himself.

I suppose Tirian's age would have to be increased, in that case. Won't it boil down to how old the actors look, not necessarily how old they are? William Moseley was 21 at the time of PC, and Ben was 26. In the books, they're definitely a lot younger. Besides, it would still be "true to the books" in a sense for Will to be a lot older in LB than he is in SC, because the time-line says that seven years pass.
