The Silver Chair. It's the most logical and besides I want them to have as much experience as possible with this series before they make my favorite book HHB. That one I definitely want to be as polished as possible.

I hear ya. Unfortunately HHB is to easy leave out as well as the MN because they are not essential to the time line. I can very well see them making SC, LB, and then being done with it.

I understand HHB being uneccesary to the timeline, but MN is vital. It explains Polly and Digory as well as the garden on the hill. If they made LB w/out MN nobody would know what was going on.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
I voted for Horse and His Boy. I love that book and I think it will be great battle-wise, because it has something like three pages worth of battle scenes verses LWW's mere paragraph. It should be very interesting.

Actually it would be too easy to leave Polly and Digory out of the picture all together. It wouldn't change the LB much except that people might not get as much out of the significance of the green hill but that would only be for us who have read the books ;and when Tirian sees the friends of Narnia there would only be two people less. If they left Polly and Digory out of LB and didn't make MN no one who hasn't read the books would be any the wiser.

I voted for SC, simply because it makes sense continuity-wise.
Think about it. If they did HHB next, then it would be in between VDT and SC, which simply does not make sense. VDT and SC are, in my opinion, the most closely connected books in the entire series (seconded only to PC & VDT). If film makers did VDT, and then skipped backwards over 1300 years and did HHB, and then jumped forward 1300 with LC, I don't think you can cause much more confusion. It makes much more sense to do SC next, then MN, HHB, and then LB (although, MN and HHB can be switched around without any issues).
Hmmm, ok, watziznehm. I still disagree though. With Fledge not being understood, not to mention King Frank and Queen Helen, they would need to do MN. I do see your point though

Actually Fledge, King Frank, and Queen Helen could easily be left out as well because their meaning is only connected to one book, the MN. Now, let me restate what I have already said. If they do the LB after the SC and don't do HHB and MN and leave out all the characters that were only connected to the MN in the LB no one who hasn't read the books would be any the wiser, that is my point.

I don't see why it won't be silver chair.
Watziznehm, something tells me you don't like The Magician's Nephew. I'm sure there would be many people, myself included, who would notice it's absence and not be amused. Come on! It's one of the best in the series. You can't leave it out!
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
Very much agreed, Warrior 4 Jesus. The movie series would not be complete nor the story of Proffesor Kirke w/out MN. I feverently hope they make all the books, not just pick-and-choose.
Ilovefauns, i hope it will be SC too, and logically, i think thats where the directors will go.

SC makes sense, since it would be in the order of the series.
*We three kings of Orient are; bearing gifts we traverse afar, field and fountain, moor and mountain, following yonder star...*
~Merry Christmas From Lostin1800~

Whoa! I guess I came across wrong. I love MN and would hate to see some of the characters left out. I was coming from an unbiased film makers point of view. That is, if you had to leave out some books in the series which of them could it be. HHB could be left out entirely, which is my favorite by the way, because it doesn't influence the time line that much. MN could be left out if all the characters that were only affiliated with it were taken out. It wouldn't change the plot of LB that much if that were to be done. That said, I hope that doesn't happen. I'm really hoping for HHB and MN. In fact I'm really crossing my fingers about HHB because it would be kind of awkward, unless the story is mentioned in SC, to put it anywhere. Jumping back and forth across time in a world that already has a weird law of time would not only be confusing to a world audience but might turn them off. The same sort of thing kinda goes for MN as well. If they do HHB after the SC they would have to have a premonition about MN if that is what they were to do next. Maybe, when all the stories are being told in the hall at Anvard in Archenland after all has been won Cor or Aravis could ask "but how did this world get started in the first place" and that would set the stage for MN. In any case, if they make the whole series, they will have to deal with gigantic time leaps eventually so it will be interesting to see how they approach that.

True, except for one thing. The audience must suspect that the Professor has been to Narnia after seeing LWW. MN is Digory's story, and I don't think the series would be complete without it. It could technically get left out, but it makes more sense to leave it in.

They might get turned off, but I don't think so. Some of the favorite characters return in HHB. And it will be awhile since the audience will have seen them. HHB is a mini family reunion and the audience will love to see Susan, Edmund, Lucy, and Mr. Tumnus again.

They already dealt with one of the largest time jumps in the series: the gap in Narnian time between LWW and PC. Earth time is longer for HHB and MN, but there are recurring characters that the audience will be happy to see again in both.
Hope you don't think I'm trying to argue with you. I just wanted to bring in a different perspective.
