I thought the scene where Eustace was talking to the bird was pretty funny. Because it makes sense. If rats and beavers and lions can talk, wouldnt you expect all of the animals to talk?

And although I thought it looked cheesy in the trailers I found the scene where Edmund and Caspian say "NO!" to Lilliandil to be pretty funny. THe audience actually got the best laugh during that scene.

Coriakin's dialogue during the map scene was priceless.

Okay I will give you that. I never understood why people thought Coriakin's dialogue was so cheesy untill I watched him explain the Dark Island for 5 minutes.

Although I was laughing because it was cheesy and over the top, I still enjoy the scene with Corikan as a guilty pleasure. It was so funny how he would creep up to Lucy or Caspian (who were looking horrified as the Mist was described) and whisper "It can take any form...It knows your darkest nightmares...it seeks to corruput all the goodness....to steal the light from this world! Until the 7th sword is laid at Aslan's table Eeeevil has the upper hand!" (Coriakin creeps up to Lucy and whispers in her ear) "Do not fall into temptation. To defeat the darkness out there you must first defeat the darkness in yourselves."

Lilliandil's line about changing form got almost no reaction in my theater. I mean, a few very obviously forced-laughs were muffled under a few people's breath, but that's about it! :p

Caspian: Everyone knows a dragon's treasure is always enchanted.

Eusctace gives Caspian this look like, "Oh I hate you! Why didn't you tell me?!"

Caspian: I mean everyone from here.

oh i missed that exchange! in what scene is it?

I love the part when Eustace is stumbling across the desert like island (Goldwater/Dragon Island) and he says:
“Oh, sure. Follow the imaginary Blue Star to the Island of Raman-doo-doo and place on the table of the talking lion the four steak knives of the seven lords.”

hey Liberty Hoffman, that's definitely my favorite funny moment. I believe they got the biggest laugh out of my parents too, who haven't read the books before

Right after Eustace picks up Ed and shows him the writing in fire.

Yeah I always thought that it would be good...after all things are different in context right, well I saw the clip and yeah it was different, but not how I expected =) It's not so much the lines that bug me (actually I liked some parts (from what little I've seen)), but their delivery. Never thought I'd say this but Rilian's podcast impersonation is 100 x's better than it, and he didn't mean it to be... The map itself, and Eustace will probably make that scene for me though :)... (gets to see the movioe in two days!!!)

"Do you want to come here and...guard...something?"

"Oh! Yes! Uhh...very, uh...logical, cousin."

Long pause. Caspian turns around, comes back, hands Eustace a weapon and does back to the door with a priceless expression on his face.

"Right." Eustace looks at the dagger as if he's never seen one before. "I've got it. Don't worry!...I'm ready to go when you are!"
^ I loved that entire scene. Caspian's face really sells it. I also liked the Duffers (yeah. Right. Yeah....yeah.") and the scene with the seagull.

I never got that scene. Or why Eustace lied about people being in the house.

I think Eustace lied because if he told them they would want to stay longer and he wanted to get out of there.

The funniest part to me was when they were going to Goldwater Island in the boats and Eustace was complaining because he didn't want to stay by the rafts or something. He said something very low and I can't remember what it was and Reepicheep said "I heard that too!" I busted out laughing at this! :D

I'll be seeing the film again tomorrow so I'll edit when I hear it again! ;)

DamselJillPole,

Caspian said that the "three of us will go look around." And Eustace said "the three of us? I want to come too." And then someone, maybe Edmund, makes a comment about them not thinking he was all that interested and Eustace says "anything not to stay by the boats with the rat." And Reepicheep says "I heard that!" It went something like that!

"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter

I chose "other" because they were all very funny! Eustace was usually anything but humorless in the first half of the movie. The dufflepuds were also killing me with their jokes. I was very overjoyed with most of the stuff I saw! :D

(Oh, and DamselJillPloe, Eustace then said "big ears" and Reep replied "I heard that too!" =)) )

No one laughed in my theatre, except when during the sea serpent fight when the volume went mute. :)

I loved when Eustace screamed like a girl. Don't know why, I just did.
