[Closed] What is the funniest moment in VDT?

I think that VDT was the funniest movie so far. There were so many clever, very funny lines, especially by Eustace or Reepicheep. But which was the best?

I didn't vote, but the line "He smells like the hind end of a Minotaur!" "That is an insult. I won the school hygiene contest two years running!" had me laughing for a long time. :)

So please vote! And if you voted other, please tell which line or moment you were thinking of. Thanks! :D

Lastly, Mods, if this should be in the spoiler section, please move it. Thanks!

I love the joke where Eustace says "I have an iron constitution." after he just fainted onboard a half hour ago!! =))

Course second place goes to the "Mother says I'm intelligent" line!!

I really liked all of the Eustace humour moments in the movie. Unlike previous movies where alot of the jokes have felt rather cheesy and out-of-place, i felt the comedic writing for Eustace's dialgoue was alot more in tune with the style of humor found in CS Lewis' books, so i was very happy with that.

I am going to have to vote for the Dufflepuds in your poll though - as fleeting as their appearance was in the heavily rushed first half of the movie, i really thought they did excellently in capturing the humorous banter between the Dufflepuds. I thought they had almost a very slight Monty Python edge to their humour - the line you quoted above about "the oppressor" could of come straight out of Life of Brian. :) Really loved them. Thought they were fantastic.

As a side note, its worth pointing out that in your poll, the guy who Eustace knocks into the water was actually supposed to be Governor Gumpas. However, like Rynelf, so much of his role ended up being cut out of the final edit that he ended up with just a generic description for his name on the final credits, so i guess it doesn't really matter what you call him.

Was it really? I thought that was Pug because when the kids were captured in the Bell tower he walked in and seemed to be in charge. I didn't think Governor Gumpas was in the movie at all. thanks!

Eustace screaming like a little girl. :D

My favorite was Eustace's second journal entry, during the storm. He writes something along the lines of "now we've been given a mission by some senile man who appears to have misplaced his razor!" lol

"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter

Pug was the guy who captured Eustace, I think. Governor Gumpas was definitely the one knocked down by Eustace...he was officially listed as Gumpas when he was cast.

For me, the funniest moment of VDT was watching one of the Dufflepuds in the background crawl/hop on the ground in a desperate scramble to get away from Coriakin's lint. :p

I heard the most laughter in the theater over the "I can change form - no!" line.

for me:
"Eustace talking to a seagull, and Tavros laughing at him"

It was an easy pick since I didn't really find the other options all too funny. Though I've seen the movie twice, I still can't come up with my own off the top of my head either. But that one I thought was hilarious. :)

lots of comic moments I love here. So hard to pick one of them, but the seagull scene made me laugh quite hard :))

I thought a lot of the movie was funny. Whereas in the previous two, I chuckled a bit at most of the one-off jokes they crammed in, I was really rolling on the floor for a lot of VDT. If nothing else, the VDT movie understands Lewis' original humor very, very well.

I'm going to have to go with "You're a magical boat in a magical land--can't you row yourself?" and "I hope that wasn't the British Consul."

The first one that came to my mind was when Lilliandil asked if it would be better if she took another form, and Caspian and Edmund say "NO" very emphatically.

I do think that Edmund wants Caspian to marry Lilliandil much more than what he could want Lilliandil for himself, though.

Definitely the first one. Edmund really showed how he was bothered with what Eustace said.
