I'm constantly checking narniaweb, and annoying my friends with my excitement
When we get to two weeks I'll reread the book (even though I finished doing that last night)
One week till the release, I'll re-watch LWW and PC
Oh and in the meantime, I'm going insane with anticipation

I'm taking my eight year old opening night. I plan on reading the book to her again before we go. I'm making Turkish Delight tonight actually--my daughter is having a Narnia birthday party tomorrow. I also made her Lucy's coronation gown for Halloween so she will be wearing that when we go see the movie.
fireheart209, your making Turkish Delight? That sounds great! I would love to know the recipe (if thats ok with you.)
I'll see if I can put a constume together. I've never dressed up for a movie, but maybe I'll try it out!

I am going to read all the spoilers I can (I almost got caught by the Susan/Caspian kiss, but because I decided to read a spoiler one day I caught it and was able to be prepared to throw things at the movie screen). Maybe I'll be able to re-watch the first two movies, but school might get in the way.
I also hope to reach at least 450 posts on Narniaweb by then! 500 would be ideal, but my goal is 450.

Going have a Narnia marathon with my kids until the day VDT comes out....maybe go see it on my birthday about a week after it comes out to avoid the crowd! Would be a great birthday gift to myself!

In preparation for VDt, I've rewatched both LWW and PC. And wow. They are amazing movies. I hereby repent of saying Adamson didn't read the books. The productions were top-notch. Even the CGI look great (esp. after seen the VDT CG in trailers for so long). I cried during LWW multiple times. I also cried in PC, but for different reasons .
I am getting overly sentimental, but LWW really is a tearjerker if you love or long for the pureness of Narnia. I especially loved the battle scene and the buildup to the battle scene. And I really don't know anymore why anyone would call the film a mini-LOTR. There was no battle scene up until that point. It was, in fact, a very personal movie with no magical device hanging in the balance etc.
I think we've taken Andrew Adamson for granted up until now, and for my part I want to recant my harshest criticisms which were unwarranted.

I'm trying to gather up a small group of friends to go with me on opening night if they can. I've not heard anyone really talking about it and so I make it a point to tell people about VDT when we're speaking about movies coming soon. Word of mouth and persistence in telling and inviting people to see the film is what will fill seats. All the movie previews and billboards out there won't have as much influence as a persistent friend will have.

Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
I'm not doing much...Besides hoping that I'll get to see it opening day. I reread VotDT a couple months ago around when the first trailer came out so it is still pretty fresh in my mind. I watched LWW tonight and I'll probably watch PC tomorrow or so and this probably isn't the only rewatch I'll do before December 10th.
I also hope to reach at least 450 posts on Narniaweb by then! 500 would be ideal, but my goal is 450.
Start posting in the Games & Blogs section. That'll jack up your post count real fast.
My goal is to reread the book, specifically so I understand what is important about it. That way I'll better be able to judge whether the movie was actually a good adaption. If the movie turns out to be a good adaption, great. If the movie isn't, I won't like it. I refuse to look at the VDT movie just from the perspective of, "Is it a good movie?" The whole reason they made this movie was to adapt the book.
I'm reading all of the Chronicles again. It's been on my to-do list for quite some time, but my list is finally getting shorter. Hopefully I can start this week. Of course, I'll have to watch both of the previous films as well. In fact, I'm going to get some work done right now so that I can make this all happen. I need a little time off to read a few good books...

Well, since my harddrive is crashing and I might not have a computer for awhile, I may not be able to even reach 450!
I'm also trying to get in touch with the one friend in my area who would be willing to go with me to VODT. I have other friends who would go with me, but they live kinda far away.

@ Valiant: I can't remember the website whre I got the recipe but I just googled it. Its all over the place.
Huh, apparently in preparation for VODT I am also starting to have dreams about it. I totally dreamt about the movie and it was pretty awesome, except slightly influenced by the fact that I was watching a History of Power Rangers last night which...made it kinda weird.

I'm going to do the exact same thing I've done for the release of Harry Potter this week(although everyone around says it's a bit crazy that I read all seven Harry Potter's in under two weeks) . Read all the books in as little time as possible and then watch the movies, Disney, BBC, and animated, and go to the theater every day until they let me get tickets.

I will booktalk The Horse and His Boy at the Great American Teach-In this Thursday. OK, so I do that every year. But this time I am going to a new school, so that may count.
I am doing a Narnia movie marathon at my library the weekend of the VDT release. I am also serving pita chips and grape juice as the snacks during it (see if you get this reference and how it ties to Narnia).
