Well, we have less that 50 days until VDT is released and all the mystery and speculation is cleared up.

So what are you doing in preparation for the release of the movie?
I am going to reread the Chronicles again. I'll read through the whole Chronicles first and then go back and read VDT again. Then I'll watch LWW and PC a few days before Dec 10.
:)

So what are your plans?

I am going to visit Narniaweb several times a day. :) :) And listen to some of the dramatized versions.

And hope I don't die before it comes out :)

I don't know some people read the books before watching the movies. It will just lead to you comparing the two while you are watching. I think its better to watch the movie, make a judgement on the film as movie without constantly comparing it to the book THEN afterwords reread the book to remind yourself how faithful or unfaithful to the book the movie is.

Anyway, I'm probably going to watch LWW and PC shortly before VDT comes out. I havent seen either movie in like a year so I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going to cry! :((
Haha, but in all seriousness I will probably have a little Narnia night and watch the first two movies. I might even break out the BBC versions. Hehehe. Like Josh said, I don't think reading Dawn Treader now would be a good idea. Reading a book closely before seeing a movie will leave you more disappointed. Trust me, I have experience with this. I feel like reading the book about a year before seeing the movie (especially with these adaptations) is the best idea. Therefore, it's not super fresh in your head, so you won't be as devastated.

I am reading the book. I expect to listen to the VDT radio production when going to work. I will watch the BBC version of VDT as well as the film productions of LWW and PC. And I hope to contribute to that new Reading Group forum I see being prepared for us. :p

Somewhere along the line I hope to get the calendar and the T-shirt. =))

I am planning on starting the book again this weekend! :D

And trying to figure out how I'm going to get my brother up here for the midnight showing. I wouldn't feel right seeing it without him.

Well, I run a book review Web site and when PC came out I did a book/movie comparison post, kind of on a whim. I was pleased with how that took off and brought lots of traffic, so I'm planning to read VDT as close to the release of the movie as I can so I'll have everything in mind for my comparison review.

Other than that, I'm planning to maybe watch the trailer another 14 times before December 10. :D

I want to get together with some friends and watch LWW and PC with them, a few nights before we go to see VoDT.
I'm not going to read it, though, cause I did not long ago.

I'm having a mini-Narnia movie marathon (can't wait 'til I can drop the mini) either the day of or the day before. I'm gonna try to drag my friend, who I'm watching VDT with, with to my house so she'll actually see PC first :p . My friend says she's going to reread it, but I'm more along the lines of just watch it so you don't judge it then compare it after.

I should splurg and make a massive sundae to go with the movie marathon.

I might read the book again a couple times before the movie comes out, although I agree with a lot of you on not wanting to spoil my feelings for the movie. I do intend to watch LWW and PC again, and after that, watch them with the commentaries. On the day the movie comes out, since I'm homeschooled, I plan to dress up all day as a Narnian, and have a great time celebrating VDT's release! I don't intend to watch it until a couple weeks later; I'm sure plenty of people will watch it then, and I might feel claustiphobic. But when I do go, I intend to bring along as many of my friends as possible! I can't wait for all of this to happen! :D

I understand I am might be disappointed. However I still hold this film up to a high standard. It is supposed to be an good adaption and that is what I hope it will be. If I am disappointed, then that is going to have to be how it is. I don't think I should try and make myself feel better about the film. The film should be good, and if it isn't, then it isn't. I'm not going to help the film in that way. ;)
I havn't even read Dawn Treader in awhile, so I'll need to refresh my memory.

I don't have any friends who are really in to Narnia. I have a few teachers that do like it though. And so does my brother and grandmother. I agree with you Glumpuddle. I will have to take my brother (and grandmother) along for my first viewing. I brought them for both LWW and PC, so it wouldn't be the same without them.

I think its a nice idea to watch the BBC version. I might do that as well.

And Aragorn, I hope I don't die before the film is released either. :p

Im indulging myself in spoilers. I went totally spoiler free for Prince Caspian, so I felt like I got slapped in the face at the movies when I saw Susan kiss Caspian. Don't get me wrong, I am not big book purist.. but that was just a no-no. No more ugly surprises like that (no I wouldnt have considered the White Witch an ugly surprise as a cameo).

I knew very little in terms of spoilers for both PC and LWW. So I am indulging myself in spoilers just to see how that changes my perception of a Narnia film.
