So I went to the movies tonight. And Narnia has never been more prominent. They've had the "3D" cut-board for a while now. Over the summer I gave the pic of a banner that hung from the ceiling. This aside of the regular poster on the wall. Well, now they have a huge poster of Aslan (identical to the first poster), and it's behind where we buy tickets.
But I noticed a new one for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, and I won't be going back for some time to the theater. I did however have my phone and it does have a camera. Only it takes small pics.
I find it odd, that only Peter is missing from this. Which is fine as his role is big. But still, if Susan and Jadis can be in it, surely he should too. Of course one can argue that Jadis has a "big" scene in the Dark Island and Susan has the magician's book...
My guess is that while they don't have a large amount of screentime, Susan and the White Witch have a bigger impact on the characters. The White Witch is the closest thing we get to a villain in the movie as she appears during the film's climax...the Dark Island. She is also important to Edmund's character.
Susan is important to Lucy's character arc and will probably be featured in dreams and the Magician's book scene. She may even show up at the end when the parents return to pick Lucy and Edmund up from Eustace's house.
In addition, the filmakers are probably trying to balance the gender's more in this movie. In the book, Lucy is the only female character and the rest are guys. Since PC was deemed "a boys movie" it seems they are trying to get more females to watch the movie by showing that its not an all male cast. Hence the appearance of Susan and the White Witch. Though I'm surprised they didnt show Lilliandil. I hope its not because they don't want to alienate Susaspian fans from the audience.

Thank you for the pics, narnian1!
If they took out the Minotaur and put in Lilliandil, I'd be happier with it.
Yes, I guess Peter won't have as many cameos as Susan.
One thing I am happy about is the focus on Aslan in the poster and how everyone else (even the White Witch) is smaller, underneath him.
ooh, I love this poster! I wish it was bigger!

I would like it better if it wasn't snowing...
Thanks for taking the picture narnian1. I wish my theatre had a VDT poster.

Compared to the posters for the previous films, I like this one the least.
