TV spot shown during Happy Feet on ABC last night. Not really new footage but kind of a different mix from the TV spots that have already been reported.

I saw a TV spot twice this afternoon (same one twice) during a football game. Maybe it was the same one you saw. I made a description of it here.

@Lady Galadriel: I watched the New Orleans Saints vs Dallas Cowboys on Fox last Thanksgiving = Dawn Treader commercial! With new scenes! Like a sea serpent grabbing Edmund! It was in the last 2 minutes of the game. And it was my first DT ad – since I don’t watch TV. Happy Thanksgiving to me! But I had to endure other movie ads until then – Tangled, The Tourist, Yogi Bear, The Green Hornet – and ended up praying to see a DT ad. Thank you, God! Incidentally, why do TV spots show up on UK Narnia but not US Narnia (Facebook)? We’re not seeing the same ads! I also think God can make the world know about VDT and the main cast by December 10 – with or without Fox. That’s my prayer!

Following on yesterday from the bits and pieces i mentioned which appeared in yesterdays Times newspaper, they are now running a competition to win a variety of Narnia promotional items. Sadly, unlike the offer which has just started in the Sun newspaper, this is not an openly available offer and is limited to 10 winners - disappointing really because there is some nice looking stuff in there that wasn't included in the Sun offer (i particularly like the hat and scarf)

As well as both the Times and the Sun being Newscorp owned papers, i noticed today that most of the Australian papers which have had Narnia promotions and competitions in them over the past few weeks have also been Newscorp papers, so i figure its probably worth people in America keeping an eye on the New York Post for similar offers and/or competitions.

They really should air a lot of TV spots and web ads during these next two weeks cause I still havent seen much promotion for the movie.

The marketing is also rather odd. At one point they have Narnia teaming up with Operation Christmas Child (pretty clever) and having contests. The next they do questionable things like having Victoria's Secret sponsor a music video for the movie. I'm not getting their strategy.

Most random place I have seen a Dawn Treader advertisement: I was googling a bible verse and the first website on the google list was biblestudytools.com. After I clicked on the website this box popped up asking me if I wanted to subscribe to their e newsletter. In the corner of this box was an image of Aslan and the Dawn Treader with the big logo and "In theaters December 10."

Victoria S. is the name of the german singer in the video. It has nothing to do with Victoria's Secret at all.

Thank you :p

Here are some shots taken by NarniaWebber Wingles of a bus in the Auckland Santa Parade last weekend.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Wow! ^^ Lucy's hair looks so red! Did it look that red on the other posters?

Oh... and I want to ride that bus! :D

I quoted as much of your article as I dared. I simply love that umbrella, the ship looks lovely and I'd die for that t-shirt. :((

Yes, I noticed that bit about Newscorp. Especially when a few weeks ago I saw a photo of the Dawn Treader accompanying the print edition ofthis Daily Telegraph business article about Newscorp's profits for this year.

Yesterday's Sunday Telegraph (print version) also ran an article about VDT though they were mostly commenting about the scrapes Georgie Henley and William Poulter got into during filming, which caused both of them to attend casualty in the Gold Coast general hospital. Georgie said in the article that she had a hard time explaining to the nurse that her injury was due to being hit on the head by a sword.

Meanwhile Hoyts theatre has this competition for a family cruise for eight days attached to VDT. The competition closes on Dec 15th, but I rather think this is an Aussie thing. ;)

Yes, while on a trip to Florida I finally saw a Dawn Treader billboard near Orlando, I think they are doing a pretty good job advertising.
Did LWW get any billboards?

LWW had some billboards. It was how I found out there even was a Chronicles of Narnia movie. I don't go to movies much and guess I don't watch the right channels becuase I never saw a trailer for LWW--just the billboards. The one I saw all the time was in Everett WA.

Traveling from Kentucky to Indiana this weekend there were two large Narnia billboards along the side of the road. It was really cool to finally see some Narnia advertising!

Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!

Oh, well that does clear things up a bit. Still I thought the video was a bit sensual for a Narnian film.
