Just Curious . How is it Tirian (sp) is able to see the film a month in advance?
He was invited to an advanced screening by Walden and Fox.
Did Tirian see it in 2-D or 3-D? I assume 2-D, but just in case I figured I'd ask...
That's correct. I don't believe the 3-D conversion is done yet.
Just read two of Tirian's tweets, and it's good news.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post it so I will leave a mod do it just in case.
LOL, I'm not sure why on earth you'd think you weren't allowed to post something that Tirian tweets publicly. But here they are for those that missed them...
Saw #DawnTreader this afternoon. Very exciting! Will tweet some thoughts tonight.
Where to start? Tilda is great, absolutely nothing to be worried about. I'm talking to you purists!
Same with Will and Anna... Much ado about nothing. No need to worry.
Here are some more that NarniaFans.com found....
From adammeliski: “Wow. That was SO good. That movie made me want to read all the Narnia books again! You all should see it when it comes out!!”
From gpackiam: “Wow! Best Narnia movie yet”
And from NarniaFans’ own David Sutton (a/k/a Narniaexpert): “I just saw the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It was great!”
Ok we only have 1 month and 1 week left, and I have 1 very big question:
Where are the TV spots?!
Yeah... been wondering the same thing.
I'd rather have the super-trailer than a bunch of tv spots. Any chance we'll get the super-trailer before the movie arrives in cinema?
I found that IMDb still has the promotion as given in that news, good thing a direct link was given to promotion because I no longer see on their homepage the link to it. But randomly going through their site, I found something better....
I really like that. If they get it visible across the entirety of IMDB then they are going to get some good exposure for the movie across a large audience. They did a similar thing with Prince Caspian, but it was only in the form of a small addition to the IMDB logo, and i don't think it worked very well, but that seems to have far greater potential.
I read in Yahoo last day that there will be in fact different rendition of the songs by country as Carrie said in the interview I’ll post the link when I find it again...
Here’s a quote from the news same as previously reported here "International cover versions of Underwood’s song will be recorded overseas in a small number of select countries, broadening the impact of this worldwide release."
I also have to say i am very impressed by the direction they seem to be going with the Movie Tie-In Song and having a series of different artists record their own versions of the song for different countries around the world. It's a fairly inspired marketing idea, and one that i can't believe no-one has really done before.
Having a cover version done for the UK by last year's X-Factor Winner Joe McElderry means the song is sure to chart in the UK Top 10 around Chirstmas, regardless of the quality of the actual song (but by comparision, it would not even register on the charts outside the UK) and will also guarantee significant tabloid press coverage, and no doubt a performance spot on one of the final X-Factor shows of this season (big big TV ratings). I'm sure the same is true of the other acts they have picked the record the song for other countries.
This way it seems like they will be able to preserve a certain degree of artistic credibility with the Carrie Underwood song appearing in the actual movie, but have some immense exposure for the movie by exploiting the specific trends of different countries singles charts. It does seem to be indicative of the slightly dishonest marketing strategy they have been carrying out for the movie so far, but again i can see how this could be a big winner.

LOL, I'm not sure why on earth you'd think you weren't allowed to post something that Tirian tweets publicly.
LOL, I don't know why I thought that.
I love all the other comments from the others as well. I have been optimistic of the movie. Changes don't upset me, but I have been cautious about several things nonetheless. This makes me feel better.
I'm struggling a bit to keep up with everything at the moment, but have we had this competition yet? It seems like a pretty sweet prize pack:

YES!
My brother just told me, that on the highway (I95), the exit nearest my house, and I am sure many others too, has a huge billboard of Aslan (going north and going south it's the same pic)
EDIT: Never mind, this news already broke. I missed it.
More details on the Malaysian Mall exhibit (see page 2) - it turns out the event is being sponsored by EON Bank Credit Card who were running the previously mentioned competition series in Malaysia (see page 1)

It's all going pretty good so far with the marketing. Hopefully they will maintain this current rate of momentum going into the release - definitely don't want to see things flatten out, or drop of completely as they did with Prince Caspian
Two more UK based competition to win tickets to a Gala Screening of the movie plus a trip to Bristol to sail on the Matthew as the Dawn Treader:

And some competitions and other features are set to appear here:
Yeah there's a really cool looking billboard with Aslan on it near my house, I was driving to school in the traffic very tired and somber, then I saw that and my mood turned around
There's a new private screening contest for UK residents. It's at Regent Street Online. http://embeddable.foxinternational.com/narnia/posters/
From my Aslan's Country report today:
"I had to play the game twice to get the terms and conditions. You have to be a UK resident and get all ten questions right. But there is no age limit. The contest ends December 10 at 11:59pm. One person will win a private Dawn Treader screening at a cinema of their choice. The screening must take place on a Sunday no earlier than December 11."
Will there be a live feed of the November 9 event at Regent Street? Maybe we should keep our eyes on these links!

@narnian1 & TheGeneral: which highway in which town and state did you see this new Aslan billboard? Be more specific if you're willing!
220chrisTian, I haven't seen it myself actually, it was my brother. Lives in same city and town as I do.
Highway: I95
City: Hollywood, FL (near Ft. Lauderdale)
Street Exit: Pembroke (going North, and going South)
Thanks, narnian1. I don't live anywhere near there. lol But maybe one of you could take a pic of the billboard? Aslan highway collection?
lol ok. and actually, by what my brother told me of the poster i can only assume it's the same one that DiGoRyKiRkE posted on the main page three days ago with the news, with the recent postings I assume you missed it:
I saw the Narnia one volume book with the VDT cover. I also saw an ad in a newspaper (It was just mentioned as coming out and didn't have any pictures. What made me more upset was that the "Yogi Bear movie" had a picture. Oh well, at least it was there. .)
I'm doing my own advertising by telling my friends about the movie.

-Thanks :]
