I think she is blue just because of the trailer colour. Although it kind of odd. Why isn't she that musty green colour from the trailer?

^^ Except that she shouldn't be the evil figure in the film. They could have had darkness or even dragon Eustace opposite Aslan.
My point was that, if this wasnt necessarily a VotDT poster but a Narnia poster in general, I like the shot of Aslan facing the Witch.
Once again it is manipulating and misleading the audience to put Peter and Susan on the poster. Not that the filmakers would care.
Winter Is Coming
I love that new poster! SO awesome!

I don't want to see Peter and Susan's cameos before the movie. I want it to be a nice suprise during the movie. I also think it would be unfair to non-book fans who might assume they are in a major part of the film.
I'm looking for VDT posters every time I pass a theatre. There was a giant one outside one.

Keeper of the Secret Magic
Now, in Japan, MITSUBISHI-DENKI has begun an advert for 3-D TVs on TV since last Sat (16th Oct.) which featured a tie-in with VDT film.
Yet, I have never seen the AD on TV thought, it can be found on their Web site, here.
Any chance of seeing a larger version of the new poster? I'd really like to get a closer look at the six figures in the corner (esp. Peter and Susan)
Other than the gigantic WW and the furled sail on the DT, I actually rather like this poster.
(Oh, and I've kinda gotten used to the lamentably-sized Reepicheep on everything, but that doesn't mean I like him there!)

I despise that new banner with a passion - the fact that it makes the movie look like a giant battle between Aslan and the WW, the fact that Aslan's face is all weird and squished, the inclusion of Peter and Susan, and worst of all - that they didn't bother to photoshop out the metal scaffolding from the set at Cleveland Point (The scaffolding was built to allow the small portion of the sail that was featured on the set to hang in such a way as if it were the bottom of a full sail hung from a full sized mast - the Cleveland Point set only featured the bottom third of the mast, with the other sections including the crows nest, built as separate sets at Warner Roadshow). As much as i'd love it to be only fan-art, it probably is real, as it fits in with several previous shonky looking photoshop poster efforts from the marketing department. Anyway, rant over.
I do love the second of the two new images that Peace&Love added though. Although it might seem hypocritical of me, given that i moan so much about other posters getting the sail incorrect (backwards, orange, half missing), i think i almost prefer the sail as presented there with the light purple detailing on the purple background. Looks quite nice.
Anyway, NarniaFans have had a few more interesting reports on various advertising and promotions in the last few days:
1. Details on the locations for the US Mall Exhibitions
http://www.narniafans.com/archives/9660
2. Details on an upcoming VDT feature in People Magazine
http://www.narniafans.com/archives/9630
3. Another competition to win tickets to the World Premiere, this time for Educators in the USA
http://www.narniafans.com/archives/9644
Added:
FoxMovies.com have a new banner for the movie up on their website, which is similar in design to the Soundtrack CD cover we saw a few days ago.
It definitely does seem to be a running theme now - "all Narnia marketing must contain snow". Think they are going to struggle when it comes to HAHB
Added 2:
Regal Entertainment Group cinemas in the USA are offering exclusive VDT collectible gift cards:
http://www.corporateboxoffice.com/p-41- ... -card.aspx
Similar artwork to the in-theatre banner we've seen before, except the sail appears to be actually purple, instead of the bizarre orangey-pink color it was before
I thought this was a pretty cool piece of marketing -
VDT themed Christmas Lights on Regent Street in London:
World famous shopping destination Regent Street, London, W1 is pleased to announce this year’s Christmas lights will have a Narnian-theme to celebrate the eagerly anticipated release of the 3-D family blockbluster
http://www.narniafans.com/archives/9701
Between this and the world premiere event in Leicester Square, VDT is going to have a pretty significant visual presence in two of the most important locations in central london going into the busy christmas shopping period.
I think i should be around for the Christmas Lights Switch-On event on November 9th, so i might try to go, but even if not i'm certain to be up that way sometime after so i'll try and get some photos.
I'm still disappointed in the new stuff that's been coming out. They haven't fixed the N on the sail yet. But I do like the colors on the gift card. They layout's pretty solid.
A UK based competition to win tickets to the World Premiere as advertised on the Narnia.com/uk website:
Um, does anyone see the link to the Terms and Conditions for that? I'm not finding one.
Hahah. You are right. It tells you to approve the terms and conditions, but doesn't seemingly have any link to the terms and conditions. lol.
Anyway, a summary of recent advertising as reported on Narniaweb. It very much seems like the advertising campaign is starting to gain some momentum. I'm still disappointed that so many of the advertisements seem to be Snow and Ice related, but if it works then who are we to complain about it.
1. Two new versions of the Aslan Face + Snow poster:

3. Scans of the previously mentioned People Magazine article and another from Sky Movies Magazine:

4. Photos of the Mall Ice Palace Exhibits

2. IMDB advertisements for VDT:

I found that IMDb still has the promotion as given in that news, good thing a direct link was given to promotion because I no longer see on their homepage the link to it. But randomly going through their site, I found something better. Going through, I went to Leonardo DiCaprio who has nothing to do with Narnia. I assume this will not show up every time but often times, and not just him but many more. I print screen the page:
you can't have more random Narnia than that, and that is GOOD. It brings awareness at the least Narnia-related of searches on the site.
Maybe Leo is playing Ramandu?
Just kidding. Anyway, I do think the IMDB ads are a very good thing. For one, the movie just has been constantly overlooked by Harry Potter and Tron when it comes to movie ads and info. This will allow others to see that the movie is coming out.
Winter Is Coming
Don't know if you all noticed a tweet from Tirian today or not (even if you don't use twitter, they show up on the front page).
Going to see #DawnTreader today.
Look for lots of reports from various sources in the next few days.
