[Closed] Update on Aslan the cub

Anyone who recalls this now-locked thread from 2010 will remember that the Washington National Zoo named one of its seven new born lion cubs Aslan. Well, now Aslan is getting to be a big boy, so they are moving him and his brother Baruti to the Calgary Zoo so as to spread the genes around ;)

You can read the complete article here.

Here's a picture of Baruti and Aslan. I think Aslan is the one on the right.

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid?
murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!

Wow that's awesome. I was not on here in 2010, so this is the first time I have heard of them.

I'm glad Aslan the cub has grown up so well. :) I hope the future for this majestic creature remains bright.

Thanks for posting, I don't remember the original announcement, but I am excited to see the nearly grown lion cubs.

Just another update on the cubs, Aslan included. :) They have turned, or are going to turn 2 years old. Also, Aslan and another one of the male lions have proven healthy and are bonding well with the lionesses at their new home.
