I have been posting and re-posting the trailer on my Facebook and one of my friends said that she thought it looks awesome and she is going to see it! and then right after that, 6 more of my friends said the same. and none of them are Narnia freaks!
and my mom loved it! she cried and said that it looked so cool!
and my dad had me play it over and over for him!

I showed it to my mom, who is not a huge fan but does enjoy LWW and PC. She has also read the books, but it's been a while.
She likes it. She was a bit curious about the presence of Peter and Susan, but otherwise has no negative comments.
Of course, all my sibs really liked it. The Dancing Princesses and I are the most excited, but even my brother, who does not have a NWeb account and listens with half an ear when I discuss VDT news, downloaded it off of YouTube.

We went to see Toy Story 3 today, and when the trailer came on, my cousin turned to me and said, "I so want to see that. It looks really good." The rest of my family seemed to enjoy it as well.
The trailer looks like it's getting a positive response from a lot of the audience...which is good, I think!

I'll be seeing Toy Story 3 on Thursday, so I'll make sure to listen for the audience's reactions to the trailer.
I have shown it to my siblings and my mom, and they had a variation of reactions:
My brother (who's into CGI and Pixar): meh (he wasn't too pleased with the CGI).
My sister (who doesn't really care about Narnia): cool . Wait, I thought those two weren't going to be in the next movie? (Although, I made the mistake of showing her the Justin Bieber music video from Karate Kid right before it, so now whenever she sees me showing the trailer to somebody she wants me to show them the music video. )
My sisters (who are really into Narnia and have read the books): yay! ....uhh, why're Peter and Susan in it???
My little sisters (who are only excited about it because I am): Wow! When can we see it?? Aren't those two not supposed to come back? Why are they in it??
My mom: looks good!

When I watched Toy Story 3 on Monday, I was surprised to notice that the VDT trailer had muffled, poor quality sound compared to the other trailers and seemed fairly lackluster because of this. There were no positive or negative reactions to the trailer from what I could tell. Perhaps people were just silently uninterested? It was hard to tell. But even I wasn't as excited as I thought I would be after seeing it.
Mary Jane: You know, you're taller than you look.
Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
I don't know if this is the place to discuss online reviews of the trailer (from news and media sites) or not. If so, lately I've been running into a lot of anti-Christian reviews of the trailer and the Narnia series as a whole. And reading them is disgusting and painful. I think this one from The Guardian is the worst. I can't decide if he's read the book or not. But the review is so off!

What gets me is that some reviewers think the trailer looks less overtly Christian than LWW or PC. Huh?
^^ wow, that review was awful. made me sad. the biggest thing they messed up was the last part: bouncing children? have they even read the book? those are Dufflepuds! I think VotDT is going to be awesome!

That is an awful review 220chrisTian!
I'm seeing Toy Story 3 this Friday. I will keep my eyes peeled on the audiences.

22ochrisTian, I must say your smiley is an understatment. It should be !!!!!!!
Yeesh, you'd think this guy had something against Narnia, wouldn't you? Seriously, before you "Narnia-bash", READ THE BOOKS!!!!!!! I mean, this is worse than a review I read on PC that called the River God a "water storm"!!! And this guy's animosity toward The Lion shows he has no idea who the Chronicles of Narnia is really about -- Aslan!! Man, that just makes me mad...

Well I showed it to my sister (who hasnt read the books).
And she was like "Why is the White Witch there? Isnt she suppossed to be dead?"
And then when Susan and Peter showed up she said "And why are we seeing them!"
Showing Peter, Susan, and the WW isnt interesting the audience. Its confusing them.

I went with a friend to see Toy Story 3 yesterday and he liked the VDT trailer. No discernable reaction from the audience either way. But I also remember seeing the preview for the second Pirates of the Caribbean a number of times and there wasn't much of a reaction back then.
Just glad more moviegoing audiences are seeing the trailer for VDT and hopefully telling others another Narnia film is coming out.

I went to see Toy Story 3 on Thursday and was very disappointed to see that my theater had decided to not use it yet. Oh, well. My brother and I will be seeing a lot of movies this summer, so I'll keep my eye out for it, as well as an ear out for audience reactions (especially in front of the 3D movies!!).

I had the opportunity to see the trailer last night back to back with the new Harry Potter trailer. They Narnia trailer ran first directly followed by Potter. There seem to be a skeptical response to the Narnia trailer and some derision (I'm sad to say) and then the place practically erupted with glee after the Harry Potter trailer.
That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong. ~ F.Scott Fitzgerald
I saw the VDT trailer in front of Eclipse over the weekend. Overall, my theatre had a really positive reaction. There was a lot of conversation and excited whispering going on, which was really encouraging.
Waaaaaah!!!! I went to see The Last Airbender yesterday, and while they had trailers for stuff coming out in January, they still haven't shown the VDT trailer!!!! What is up with my theater?? There are no posters, no 3D displays, nothing! And this isn't some lame cheap-o theater I'm talking about. It's Cinemark, and the best one in my area! What is going on here?
Well, I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope it's in front of either Despicable Me or The Sorcerer's Apprentice, both of which I plan on seeing.
