They are not going to kill of the Pevensie kids. I just don't think they are going to do that.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
And I really, really doubt that they killed off the Pevensie parents. Don't you think that if their parents had just died, Lucy and Edmund would have reacted a little differently to Eustace mocking their orphan status? I would expect Lucy to cry or Edmund to do more than just make up a mocking rhyme.
As for Caspian going with them in the boat, maybe they've switched Aslan's rebuke to the end of the world instead of Caspian's cabin. Or maybe Caspian never has a meltdown and instead just wants to take the Pevensies to the end of the world and then go back to the ship.
I haven't taken any sides. Just wondering, folks. Just wondering out loud...
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
I haven't seen the third clip (my comp has trouble with non-YouTube videos), but the second clip is more encouraging than the first.
Here's why I don't like #1: the Georgie Henley shot bothers me. She says "Edmund, the painting!" after it's already pouring out buckets. #2: Eustace talks way too fast! That said, his enunciation seems to be clearer than anyone else's. In PC I was always straining to hear what characters were saying. Having captions is almost a must these days! (A bit more about that in a min). #3. I Don't like the idea of the room filling up. What does this mean for the rest of the house? Will it get filled up too, and will we have to have some sort of big explanation? The way it happens in the book may not be action-packed, but it's still exciting! And a whole lot less messy.
The second clip I like better, but only because of Eustace. There is no dragon cave, and we have a trench instead? No way JimBob, dragons have caves not trenches! That's Mythology 101. Beowulf. The Hobbit. You name it. Dragons. Have. Caves. Caspian and Edmund find the treasure? And Gael is actually a big enough part of the story to have lines!
"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed."- CS Lewis
Slow down. The trench may lead to the dragon's cave. Also, Eustace doesn't talk too fast. If anything it's American movies/TV series that often have too much fast talking - Chris Rock or Gilmore Girls anyone?
Also, the editing of sound, music and image is clearly incomplete, so I wouldn't worry about that yet.

Doctor Who - Season 11
I agree that Eustace talks to fast and both he and Edmund mumble. Skander has been mumbling since the first film though. At least Georgie seems to have outgrown it.

Sorry. I didn't mean to be abrupt it is just that if they did that. If they killed off the Pevensies children then there could be no them in LB seeing Tirian when they are having their friends of Narnia meeting. I like that part. It is important for their part in LB in that they attempt to send Jill and Eustace to Narnia. I think that even though their parts are small that it is important for them to be in LB. I am trying to not ruin the end of LB here though i fear we already have.

I took the following screenshots from the second trailer last week sometime, simply because i thought they were interesting little details that were worth commenting on, but never got around to doing so. However, now with the release of these clips, everyone seems to have got themselves into a mass panic about Mr and Mrs Pevensie somehow both being killed in the year since the events of Prince Caspian occured, so i thought i should bring them up.
In addition to the numerous illogicalities in the script writing that you would have to accept in order to take Eustace's "orphans" comments as being literal, which lots of people have already mentioned, i feel that these shots, whilst not conclusive by any stretch of the imagination, are worth mentioning:
One of the aspects of the "leaked script" which does not seem to have changed is the idea that the movie would begin with Edmund and Lucy out buying groceries on their bicycle. The follow on from them returning home with the groceries had Uncle Harold handing Edmund and Lucy a letter, commenting that it had a "Yankee Stamp" on it, so that it must be from their Parents (who are in America). Lucy then grabs the letter and runs upstairs with it.
As you can see from the images above, there is a letter sat on the bed, looking like it has recently just been read, and what appears to be a few postcards sat on the mantelpiece. Obviously they could be letters and postcards from anyone, but given that the opening scenes do not appear to have been rewritten that much since that draft, you might assume its still intended to be a letter from their parents.
I find it odd that Fox would request the videos to be taken down now, given that they, us, and everyone else knew these clips were going to be released on DVD on August 16th.
If they really didn't want the videos to appear on the internet, they could of informed all the major Narnia fan sites ahead of time not to post news stories on the videos should they appear. Im sure every single one of them would of complied with such a courteous request, given how close a working relationship the fan sites maintain with the production.
Part of me thinks they might well have wanted the clips to appear on line for a while and generate some positive publicity, which these clips undoubtedly have (far more than both trailers ever did) but now require them to be pulled to protect the economic viability of the Group VBS DVD package as a product in its own right.
I didn't know that these clips were going to be released on DVD. What DVD? Could you give us more details?

It was mentioned in the news story, but basically the 3 clips come from a VBS (Vacation Bible Schools) DVD Package called "Fun for the Whole Family Hour". The release date for the package was announced a while ago, and so everyone at NarniaWeb had been anticipating this for a while. The release was even delayed by a month or two, because Fox were aware that the clips would likely leak online, so it just seems odd that they wouldn't send out the polite requests to the Narnia fansites ahead of schedule if they really didn't want sites to report on it.

After watching clip #2 recently (for the umpteenth time), I noticed something interesing that I don't believe has been mentioned yet. At about 5.5 seconds something dark and mysterious clearly comes into view at the extreme right edge of the picture frame and at a height just above Eustace's head and only for a brief moment
Could it be dragon #1? Could it be a member of the film crew? Who will solve this unknown phenomena?
Addressing some of the criticism of the clips; this early stuff like the trailers can have shots edited out of order in the same scene or even shots from two different scenes edited as though they belonged together.
I've scene this happen more than once. So when Lucy reacts to the painting, for instance, she is probably reacting to the initial animation of the picture and not the water coming out of it as later on. Just my guess but I bet when VDT comes out that will be the case.
Other than that, I very much like Will Poulter as Eustace and it was cool to hear Drinian and Gael utter a line. And...visually things are looking good too. (IMHO)

It's a jawa!!! Actually, I don't know what it is. Anybody have a hi-def version who can get a better look at it?

I couldn't find anything at 5.5 seconds, and about drove myself bonkers trying to. I did see something just a few seconds after that, however, which looks like something dark and mysterious. It is following Eustace. If you ask me, it looks like a person with a movie camera. Try pausing it at about 7 seconds and it has a fairly small shadow. Is that what you were talking about?
Edit: I looked again and this time I did spot it at 5 seconds. It could be larger than I thought at first.
I think Eustace may infact save the crew of the Dawn Treader when in dragon form. Notice how Edmund said "You were a good dragon". So what did he do as a dragon?
And these clips were roughly edited. The shot of Eustace searching through gold to Edmund and Caspian looking at hte Gold....didnt seem to mesh well.

yeah, I noticed that too! they shortened the events in each scene so as to get the bare minimum I want to see the whole thing!
