These clips are without a doubt, the BEST footage I have seen so far.
Agreed. I am liking the clips and how things are looking visually. Haven't heard the sound yet but that flame shot looks impressive. Dragon Eustace?

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
^^ yeah, I would love to see what Dragon Eustace is going to look like! but of course they are saving the best for last, or so it seems.....

Thoughts.
I'm pretty sure "orphans" is just a jibe and not literal. Especially since Eustace follows it up with "You're just guests."
Love that Eustace has a diary.
Clip two was my favorite. The line about "I must be dead." cracked me up.
For those of you who aren't thinking that Dragon Island looked much like Dragon Island, I suggest you go read the description of Deathwater Island and remember that there are 5 islands in the movie instead of 7. (Though looking up I see some of you figured that out already)
I have a sneaking suspicion after seeing the body of (presumably) Lord Octesian that there will only be one dragon in this movie... Eustace.
Yeah, Eustace looks great. And kudos to Will. Because I don't like Eustace in the first two clips which means Will is doing a marvelous job! (Kind of a funny comment to say there)
And THANK YOU for finally getting a spiritual element right in movie three. "I couldn't do it myself."
Yeah, my favorite clips so far.
^^ ditto on everything FK!!!!!
eeek! these clips give me sugar rush! *giggle*
I love how Edmund and Eustace don't appear to get along in the first clip - just like the book!

Wow. Where have these clips been all my life?
Will Poulter is amazing. I couldn't've asked for a better Eustace. He plays the stuck-up brat wonderfully and it looks like he can do the transition into a nicer boy later in the story.
The orphan part was kind of weird, but I suppose it's not a big deal...
The rhyme is changed, but it still sounds demeaning and I love how Eustace pushed over Octesian to get at his ring.
We can at least be rest assured about Eustace if nothing else.
EDIT: I just had a thought. If Mr. and Mrs. Pevensie are dead, maybe they're going to live with Eustace. The horror!
It's looking gorgeous
Eustace is perfectly cast!
It feels true to the books, definitely the dialogue of the first clip.
Very encouraging.
New clips! Exciting! Maybe....
First clip: Eustace is writing in his diary. That is a deviation from the book, but an understandable one that I can live with.
They changed the rhyme. *sigh* Orphans? That adds a new dimension to the Pevensie character arcs. But why???
I'm still not fond of the actual painting itself. The ship is much too small.
Second clip (the most intriguing one): After Eustace falls down and sees the gold, what is he saying? It sounds like "I must be dead" but that doesn't make any sense.
Octesian's skeleton was the last thing I expected to see. But that just brings up more questions. If Octesian didn't become a dragon or a dragon didn't eat him, then how did he die?
Edmund says "I never should have left him." That's a change. In the book Eustace wanders off by himself.
MLG sighting!
Third clip: Caspian and Edmund are wearing armor in the bit before they're in the boat. I presume they head to Aslan's Country fairly soon after the battle then?
The lilies are pretty. I think they look better than they did in the first trailer.
It's good to have further confirmation that they got the undragoning scene right, but I was hoping the conversation afterward would be just Edmund and Eustace. And Edmund didn't talk about how he was a traitor the first time he came.
I just had a thought. If Mr. and Mrs. Pevensie are dead, maybe they're going to live with Eustace. The horror!
I was wondering about that. Eustace does say something about people who read fairy tales are always the type who will be hideous burdens to people like him. Is he implying that Edmund and Lucy are burdens to his parents?

I repeat my above comment. I don't believe they're actually orphans. Rather Eustace made it up as a jibe because he knows Edmund and Lucy are stuck at his house and don't want to be. He immediately follows up his rhyme with "You're just guests."
These were great. I love clips.
I am not sure how i feel about Eustace. He does have a weird voice. It might have something to do with the editing though.
I did not like him though and i guess that is the point.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
I also find it somewhat odd that Caspian and Edmund should stumble upon the Dragon treasure as well, but thats not too much of a big deal.
This is only a theory, but I wonder if possibly it could be a replacement scene for their confrontation on Goldwater Island in the book? Considering that Dragon Island and Goldwater have been merged.
I just looked at the higher resolution video on NarniaFans, and you are right - you can very clearly see a small river running through the Dragons Treasure. (i posted an image in the Island Order thread)

Oh gee. I can't believe I forgot about that.
Just noticed as well that Lucy is looking into a mirror when she first appears in Clip #1. Yet more foreshadowing of her "I want to be beautiful like Susan" subplot no doubt.
I saw somebody mention that on the front page too (might have been you, I was skimming)
I certainly hadn't thought of that, but I agree that's likely what it is.
All I have to say is....
Is it December yet????
Now I REALLY want to see this movie!
Orphans?!!! Wait a minute!
OK. Lets see what else I noticed...
Eustace is quite good. Glad they're including the "Diary" to some extent. I bet "We're home!" from getting groceries. Ohh, Lucy looking in a mirror! A little foreshadowing. I think I remember a NWebber guessing that would be a shot, sometime earlier. Forget who, though.
The "Orphans" line is kinda freaking me out. I don't think the "You're just guests" really negates the idea of Ed and Lu being orphans. If Mr. + Mrs. Pevensie are dead, then how about Pete and Su?
Good question about Lord Octesian, daughter of the King! I didn't even think of that... Reading back over everyone's posts, I see you are all tending to go for the idea that Eustace will be the only dragon in the movie. That is a possibility, but:
1. It looks like the treasure is kind of strewn all over. He could find it, start gathering it, and then the dragon comes out of the cave. I'm still loading the higher-res versions, but I thought I saw steam floating about in the last shot of Eustace; he turns his head to look in that direction - the dragon's breath?
2. Why all the treasure if there was no dragon to collect it? Did it just rise from the Goldwater? That would be very odd.
I like the shipboard scene in that clip.
Nice new shots of the Sea of Lilies. Love the Eustace dialog. So the "Undragoning" does take place very close to the end, apparently. Hmmm.
Lots to think about, all in all.
