So today is the big day! Dawn Treader has been released and I'm seeing it tonight!
So before you each entre the theatre for your first viewing, what are your thought?
I have avoided looking at spoilers and reviews for the past couple of weeks (especially the last few days.) I want to clear my mind, forget all my worries, and just enjoy the excitement of it all!
I don't know how the movie will turn out, but I just hope I come out entertained if nothing else. I'm trying to go in as open-minded as possible though.
I'd love to know your final thoughts Narniawebbers before you see the film and how you are handling your first viewing.

I for one am excited and slightly nervous. I just hope it meets my expectations, draws me in, and is as good if not better than LWW and PC, but in a new and different VotDt way. Not askin' for much, am I?

Don't have a lot of time to post since I'm leaving for the theater in ~ 45 min. and am still putting the finishing touches on my costume (! ).
I'm really excited, which makes me worried, too, that I'll be disappointed. But I do know most of the major changes, so I'm hoping that will help.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. I'm expecting it to be a really fun, adventurous, exciting movie. I don't think it will follow the book closely and although I wish it did, I am not going to let it ruin the movie for me.
My sister and I are going to go see it tomorrow. Right now I am feeling excited but reserved at the same time. I am excited because 1. I hardly ever go the theater anyway so tomorrow will be a treat, 2. I've been following this movie for two years, and 3. Maybe this movie will exceed my expectations (maybe). I am reserved because 1. All of the clips I have seen I have not been impressed with, 2. The best-written reviews I have read all agree that the plot isn't very good no matter what else they say about it, and 3. I didn't really like the first two the first time I watched them so even if I wasn't one of the Spoiled Rotten I would be going into this movie inclined to dislike it.
My little sister insisted on watching LWW this afternoon even though she's not coming to see VDT. I watched it with her and was kind of glad I did. She put PC on right after but we only watched half of it because it was dinner time. I'm glad we only watched the first half though. The second half hasn't gotten any better with repeat viewings and if we watched it I would only be reminded of how much I haven't like the Narnia movies so far.
So, yeah, excited and reserved.
Going to see it tomorrow with my kids...the wait is over and the moment of truth has come! So excited!!

I'm leaving for the theater in just a little less than an hour and a half. My feelings are mixed. I'm excited to find out the spoilers I've been hiding from, but I just don't know what I'm going to think of VDT as a whole. People who know me who've seen the movie are telling me I will like it. I might, or I may hate it. I've read so many positive and negative reviews that sometimes say the exact opposite of each other. Some say it is better than Prince Caspian and others seem to be saying it is worse. Perhaps I will be on NarniaWeb in a couple of hours extremely excited over what I have seen, or maybe I will be quite mad.
You can see my train of thought here. I'm excited to see it but not sure at all what I'm going to think of it. I'm going expecting lemons, but if it is better than that, I will be extremely happy.
I am spoiled rotten. I am going to see it tomorrow dressed as Lucy. I am SO SO SO excited!
it is going to be amazing! I just know it!
yay!

I've decided I should never read a review before I see a movie I think I'm going to like.
I was worried about:
...the film diverging too much from the story...
...murky 3D (like Clash of the Titanically Bad 3D)
...endless action without spiritual content...
None of the above transpired. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The kid playing Eustace is fantastic!
"In a civilized country, like where I come from," said Eustace "the ships are so big that when you're inside you wouldn't know you were at sea at all."
"In that case, you might just as well stay ashore" said Caspian.
I'm going to see VDT for the first time in about a thirty odd minutes...
I just devoted the last two hours to reading the book all the way through in preparation, it'll be interesting to see the film with the original story so fresh in my mind. I'm spoiler free (excluding some trailers), so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I'll just consider myself "Pessimistically Optimistic."
i always see some reviews and then decide to go to the theatre...
