What a terrible way to watch a Narnia movie for the first time. This happened in Australia. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.

Ooh, that sounds horrible! Yes, thank goodness no one was injured too severely. I guess whoever said that the weather could be a problem (although for a different topic) was right here! :-s #:-s

Today's Daily Telegraph has this new report:

The report had the heading, 'Real 3D as cinema ceiling crashes in'. It seems some of the 36 people affected were in Cinema 5 when the roof collapsed, waiting for Love and other drugs to start. Water had got in under the roof hence the ceiling collapse. A woman screamed, which alerted the others in the cinema. If it wasn't for that timely scream some theatregoers might have been killed.

The ceiling of the next door No 4 cinema, screening Chronicles of Narnia, was also affected. One of the VDT patron, who was lucky to escape the incident with no more than a scratch, said that ....some patrons couldn't tell the difference between on and off screen action. "The noise matched the scene in the movie - 3D will never be the same again".

I take it that the storm struck during either the storm sequence in VDT or during the sea-serpent sequences. :-o

It would be funny if someone actually made the decision not to watch Narnia just because of this news. That would be quite superstitious to say the least.

Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!
