I checked to see if there was already a topic for this, but I didn't see one.
There was that one scene where Caspian was in his cabin holding one of the seven swords and he said "We don't even know if the lords reached Ramandu's Island..." Then the scene cuts to Edmund and then ends just as it looks like he's going to say something. Surely there was more to it?
Did anyone else notice that?

I didn't notice the cut to Edmund. As I recall, there was only one shot in that scene, the broad one of Caspian at the table, and Edmund in the back.
I hate this scene. It really does nothing for the film, and you can tell that there was once more to it. I would rather them go straight from Eustace pulling the DT to the shot of them arriving at Ramandu's Island. I think the two would mesh together much better without a random line from Caspian smashed in the middle.
yes, there's more to this scene. As i've said in another thread, there's a picture in the movie tie-in/storybook where Caspian and Edmund talk in this cabin, wearing the exact same outfits.

Hmm, I can't remember that. I guess that's what you get with a ten-second scene if you only see it once.
But about the same outifts...Lu wore the same outfit for the whole movie, just changed a little in parts. Is that true for Ed/ Caspian?

yes but the pic in the book takes place in the same cabin and Caspian sits in the same chair so obviously... I wonder what the deleted part is about.

Yes, I did remember this scene! I thought it was strange, as it didn't really add anything at all to the movie. I agree, there's probably more to the scene that was cut out for time's sake.
I honestly didnt remember this scene. But perhaps that's because it didnt leave that big of an impact on me because it was so short. Hmm.. im sure, like so many other scenes, it was watered/cut down.

This is the deleted scene where Caspian was about to proclaim his crush on Lucy (Luspian).... hehe ok not really. But I'm hoping that at some point we can get an extended edition of this movie. Sounds like they cut a whole lot out.
your fellow Telmarine
You scared me CorazonBandido55.....but it was funny when realised it was a joke. I remeber that scene it was out of the blue and didn't add anything to the rest of the story. I am totally clueless why they included it.
I actually believe that they cut a lot out of this movie. It just seems like so many scenes could have been longer. That scene is definitely cut. I'm hoping they have an extended DVD. They might have one with the extra scenes, but unfinished effects. I'm hoping that they actually add the effects and put some of the missing scenes back into the movie. An extended cut might actually smooth over some of the pacing issues i have with this movie.

Gosh, I thought you were serious for a minute there! But yes, an extended edition is exactly what we need- there's obviously more missing from other scenes and ones that didn't make it in the film at all, but this scene was the most obviously modified.

I know, I've been thinking about it, too! I hope we'll get to see more of it in the deleted/extended scenes on DVD!
Personally, I loved the brotherly relationship between Caspian and Edmund - apart from the Goldwater fight, which we all knew would happen, it was done as a very mature deep friendship I always imagined those two would develop. So I hope that maybe, if there's a deleted scene as the 'prologue' or 'afterwards' to this ten-second scene, we'll get to see more interaction between those two
I've seen the movie 9 times!!! (PC)
I've seen the movie 7 times!!! (VoDT) And loved it!
