Mat Baynton from Horrible Histories? He's great fun and I love his work but he seems too lively to play the part of Puddleglum.

Doctor Who - Season 11
I do agree with you, but he can do really serious stuff as well!
Check out "The Listening Man" on you-tube and the start is all serious, the end is a bit smoochy but you get the gist.
And also, think about the behind the scenes, they would be hilarious !
this is a long shot, but does Ben Barnes have a brother???
If he did and if his brother was old enough and a good actor he could play
Rillian.

Yes, he does have a younger brother, but nope, he isn't an actor.
Anyway, since it will probably be a few years until we see another Narnia film on the big screen, MN or SC or whatever could come at us, I'm going to read the book again to find things I think that the filmmakers should do to include to make it a good adaptation, including themes, characters, and ideas of the novel, then I will try to share my thoughts on what I think they should do better.
Thanks Louloudi!
I wish we knew more of what was going on here!
everything is a mess!!

Even if Ben has an actor brother...it'd be kind of strange (to me) if real life brothers played a father and son relationship?
Anyways...my dream Rilian is still Hugh Dancy. But he's gettin' older by the day and there's still no news.
Maybe Walden-Fox can pretend VDT never happened and seriously reboot from there. And yes, now that time has passed I think I am completely fine with the idea of recasting Eustace (as long as he's an excellent actor) to maintain the age he was approximately in the book, give or take a couple of years. Sorry Will P.

If there is going to be a Sliver Chair, I just hope they will do a good job with it. (Prince Caspian was not the greatest movie. Please don't make the Silver Chair the same way.)
Seeing Natalie Portman as the Emerald Witch would be really weird, just because I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I think she could do a really good job.
Jonny Depp would make good Uncle Andrew. I think.
Please, please, please, filmmakers, if you ARE making a Silver Chair, PLEASE do a good job and follow the book!!!!!!!!!!!!
