Scarlett would be an amazing LOGK. She is a beautiful woman and would be great.

The problem is that it isn't enough for LGK to be beautiful. She has to be able to act as well, and that's something I've never seen Scarlett Johansson do. She always has the same bland expression. LGK is a very dynamic character, and the actress must be able to draw us into that, not just with her looks.

Every role I've ever seen Scarlett Johansson in is basically the exact same role. Stoic, emotionally flat woman who couldn't emote to save her life. Maybe she's capable of doing something besides that and the directors never ask for it, but I'd be highly skeptical of her ability to pull the role off.

She was good in Ghost World and decent in The Prestige but yes, she's not a great actress.

I have to agree. LOTGK, or what's her face, has to be someone who is good at manipulating others. The sort of person who uses good looks, perfumes, music and whathaveyou to beguile people into doing whatever she says. Who will have people believing that the sky is purple or orange, no matter how it is generally seen as blue.

I don't know much about Scarlett Johanssen, who I think was originally a model, most of whom seem to have the exact same glum, down-at-mouth expression as they flounce their way across the catwalk. Kudos to her for anything she has managed to do as an actress, if that is the case. I thought most stoic, emotionally flat roles were generally male ones. Puddleglum, perhaps?

Anhun, I'm glad that you looked at my idea!
After seeing Cumberbatch perform as the monster in Frankenstein, I still believe he can do anything. :D

What does everyone think about a new actress as LotGK? Or
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1567113/

Also besides Me, Lu-Valient and all the other Jill Pole wannabe's out there, which already known actress could suit the role?

(I know there is a thread on this, I comment frequently) :)

@Jill_Pole---Jessica Chastain looks a lot like Bryce Dallas Howard. I've never seen JC in anything is she a good emoter? I thought if they couldn't get Nicole Kidman...then Bryce Dallas Howard (Opie's daughter) :p might do. She was in Branagh's As You Like It and I think she emotes wonderfully. I think I read she was in the Twilight films, but I've never seen her in those as I don't really care for those films. And this Eoin Mackin looks interesting (never have seen his work)...if they couldn't get Hugh Dancy for Rilian.

Hugh Dancy, he's our man, if he can't do it, no-one can!! (quite dashing he is)

What about http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3091498/ as the LotGK??
I think she looks just about perfect!
Also check out the photo's of her in Robin Hood to see how she looks in Narnian-like dress :)

New idea for LotGK- Kelly Macdonald, she played the Gray Lady(Helena Ravenclaw) in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two.

I think Bryce Dallas Howard might really work as LGK. I don't feel that Lara Pulver, Kelly Howard, or Jessica Chastain are pretty enough.

Part of me thinks it might be interesting if Camilla Power played LGK.

Wow Camilla Power looks really different! Last time I saw her was on an episode of Horatio Hornblower. That would be sort of strange casting....hmmmm....? I liked when she was only 12 or however old she was then making the BBC TV Silver Chair. You know, she is distantly related to Tyrone Power.

Anhun, I personally think you are a genius!
I just need to see her with longer hair to get the real picture...

But I do disagree on another point, I personally think that Lara P is rather pretty (I am quite a bit jealous of her.... and Georgie H :-s )

I'm no admin, but I think the discussion for suggesting actresses for LotGK should stay in the topic in Cast and Character Discussion section. Just saying...

But but but PuddleCheep! :-o
This is our thoughts on the film and that should include characters (right?) and their depictions in general and then I agree for more specific discussions we should move it to different forums :)

:D But if discussing actresses, what does because I would be pleased to offer any opinions I have about anything Narnia :)

*pops on mod hat*

Discussing the casting of the movie is fine since it does fall under the topic starter. But really in-depth discussion of specific castings should probably go over to CCD.

*disapparates*

Oh-kay, no-one has said anything for a while so...
(apologies Puddlecheep, this is an actor suggestion)
Mat Baynton for Puddleglum? Has anyone suggested it before (I think I may have, sorry if so)
