I know it's been said several times that they won't be using Jadis for The Lady of the Green Kyrtle. When Coriakin goes to tell them about the green mist however, and unrolls the map, I swear the first thing we are shown is the battle from LWW against the White Witch, (or am I wrong about this?). Is this supposed to hint that she is involved with the green mist/Lady of the Green Kyrtle.
I know they used her mostly as a "dream/nightmare" for Edmund, but what if they actually bring some truth into it and make her the villain again next movie? The hints are there, and movie-wise it would make perfect sense. Though as another user said elsewhere, can't remember where, that would cheapen Aslan defeating her in LWW, as if she were stronger still.
I was gonna say have one actress portray her until she is s snake, then have Tilda Swinton like "Ha ha, you didn't see this coming but it's me- I'm back! Muhahahahahaha!"
But you're right, it would cheapen that! Aslan defeated her, she is GONE. If they make her come back, I probably ain't seein' the movie.

You suck a lollipop, and you sing a song. Get it right, Jo!
I HOPE she will NOT be the Green Kyrtle. Tilda is a great actress, and the White Witch is a great character-but seriously there is no need for her anymore.
The worst thing for me was that she came with the green smoke.Green is a huge colour theme for Silver Chair and it does make you cringe to think.....

Jadis is dead- she even said it herself in the film, but exists only as a haunting memory. Wasn't it something like?
Edmund: But you're dead?
Jadis: You can never kill me silly boy- I will always live on in your mind!
This is hopeful that the film makers don't go against their own version of the story.
That wouldn't stop them though, especially since a lot of reviewers miss Tilda Swinton as a major presence in the films. Hopefully the actress for LOTGK will be as well received as Tilda was.

I can't imagine why that would mean that they will be using Swinton for Green Kirtle. I think it was like the murals on the Dawn treader: a tribute to important moments in Narnia's history. They've enjoyed doing that throughout PC and VDT in the engravings in the How in PC and the map and the murals in VDT.
LOTGK will not be played by Tilda Swinton.
I have been assured this by a senior production member who can be trusted to follow through!
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
I think anything could still happen. I mean SC isn't even greenlit yet, so i don't believe that anything is off the table at this point.
I do though think that the green mist may be the thing that is continued in SC and not necessarily that the White Witch is the LotGK. I don't want them to continue with temptation as their theme though. I don't think i can talk about this when at this point i don't believe it is going to happen.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Kate, I read too much into it I guess, I thought of the mural in PC, I guess the timing just messed with my mind since Coriakin had been saying "let me show you the cause of the green mist" and then that, I saw a hidden meaning. Oops.
coracle, That's what I've heard said. Glad to know it's being kept the same as book, if we get to see it.
The battle was shown on the map for the same reason Mr. Tumnus is carved on the wall at Aslan's How: important Narnian history happenings. That's all there is, was, and should be, to it.
"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter
The green mist was used for all the villains/threats/evils.
Jadis and the Lady of the Green Kirtle are both minions of the same head honcho.
So no, I am not concerned at all. I think they will cast a different actress as well. I can see the Lady of the Green Kirtle as a redhead with deep red or auburn hair.
LOTGK will not be played by Tilda Swinton.

Well, that's a relief!!

For the record I have never once heard anybody official say this. However, this topic is already being discussed here. Feel free to continue discussion there!
