How will they make the light so bright though?
That is a good question. I think that the filters they use will have allot to do with it. Allot of TV shows nowadays use dark filters to emphasize a point. If they use a filter that creates a brighter appearance than the rest of the film it could work.

OK, Watziznehm, when you mentioned City of Ember, I immediately got interested.
That would make a really good scene, even if it probably won't be considered the most exciting scene. But if they do it like PC (even though Disney's out of it), they might skip over the breathtaking scenes and stuff in the action without explaining the plot very well.
So I agree with most of these posts:

If they do the scene correctly Eustace won't be able to speak. He will be too stupefied to utter a sound.

Even though Eustace is 'redeemed' he can still be a bit of a know it all and annoying - like in LB when he's described as having the bad habit of interupting people, so it'd be no harm to keep him quiet for a while
