Right now, my feeling is that this has something to do with the Magician's Book scene. That's the only possibility that makes any sense to me.
This theory, to me, defiantly makes the most sense from the filmmakers perspective, they wouldn't go through the whole "We're not coming back, take my sword" thing and then bring them back, that's just silly. But if there's a magical book that can do anything they would jump at the chance to give beloved characters from the LWW and PC back for a cameo without actually 'bringing them back'.
If this Sig is by you please let me know, because I can't remember
"I am going to live forever, or die trying!"
If this is in the film, I don't want the movie crew to make excuses of bringing every Pevensie back in SC and MN. Like the Pevensie's dropping off Eustace at school or the LOGK shift shaping into the Pevensie's, etc. We need to all say goodbye to them now. No more bringing them back until HHB and LB. What's the point in having Peter and Susan in earth clothes on the poster and now in Narnian clothing. Does Peter have two cameos and Susan has three? That's too much cameos!

I remember that in SC Jill brings some Narnian clothes back to Earth, and if costume designers can make Narnian clothes for the movies, couldn't there be a possibility of this being on Earth with them wearing clothes like what they had in Narnia? They found some clothes that reminded them of what they had in Narnia and are wearing them here. Although I admit the flashback and magician's book are more likely.

^ I understand what you're saying, it makes sense, but I think it's very unlikely
Like you said, it's more likely to be a flashback or something from the magician's book

I honestly hope it's from the Magician's book, because otherwise, i'll be fairly disappointed...
"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter
It can't be a dream or a vision/flashback because Lucy and Edmund are in there DT clothes. I'm still siding that this scene wont make it into the film because of Lucy's hair. I still think it's added to show audiences who haven't read the books that Peter and Susan will return by having them in Narnian clothing. That or I can honestly see it as a spell scene. It's the only option that makes sense.

Dinode, I'm sorry but I don't quite get what you mean.
I very much agree with everyone else. It could have something to do with the magician's book.

Okay, translation, they are in their own world wearing either clothes brought back from Narnia, or clothes that look just like Narnian clothes.

It would make sense, though it would be unlikely. However, what about the pillars behind them?
IDK what to think anymore. I think it will be in the magician's book, but its really up in the air really. Maybe it is a flashback and having Lucy and Edmund in VDT clothes was a mistake?? I am sooo curious, I really need to know!!
I hoped for a cameo from Peter and Susan in VDT in the England scenes, and I was sure they would do it. However I agree that we need to let go of them or this will become ridiculous if its in future Narnia films.

On the VDT banner Peter is wearing some sort of gray suit and Susan has her hair fixed all wavy with a light blue blouse and a broach. They are not wearing those narnian ones that is seen in the trailer.

Something new from a recent interview:
In the trailer, there are people in the film who don’t feature in the book. Is that the case? Peter and Susan aren’t in the book.
Apted: “That’s a nice little surprise for you in the film. It doesn’t go against the book but it’s a nifty little idea in the film. They came back for a couple of days, and it doesn’t really impinge on the story but it’s a nice little grace note.”
When he says "They came back for a couple of days" I wonder if he means the actors or the characters, then he said it doesn't go against the book. This confuses me because he also said this story in't in Narnia and Tony Nixon stated "They don't come back in Narnia"
I'm so confused

Oh, bother. Starting to sound like they did bring them back in real time and not in a flashback/dream/memory using the "Well, they aren't really in Narnia, so technically Aslan wasn't lying." argument.

I very much got the impression he meant that the actors returned for a couple of days shooting (that would obviously encompass not just this scene, but also Susan's Magician's Book appearance, and whatever real-world cameo there is that resulted in Peter and Susan both appearing in real-world clothes on the theatre standee)
I'll admit i'm as confused as anyone about this scene, but it seems clear from what we've heard that this scene is not to be considered "reality", and given that almost everything from their surrounding environment (perhaps bar the 4 thrones) indicates that it is Coriakin's Island, then there are numerous magic-based explanations to explain this scene.
EDIT: For reference, a better comparison of the pillars from the new trailer with the pillars in Coriakin's library. Now that you can see the detailing on them, you can see that they are literally identical apart from the colour scheme. There is almost no way the movie designers would ever design two pillars with such similar architectural designs and not intend them to be related somehow.
Also, you may have now seen that the Magician's Island area on Narnia.com links through to the "Supply Search" game. If you recall, the Supply Search game was the title that accompanied the concept art featuring the Moeraki boulders on the beach. In the new shot of the 4 Pevensies on the beach you can again see the Moeraki boulders on the beach.:
Obviously such an assumption relies on Narnia.com having linked the correct game from the Magician's Island area, and would also need to take into account that the finished "Supply Search" game has no relation to the concept art that orginally went with it (and bizarrely it seems to have no relation to searching for supplies either). But its still something worth considering.
^True and as well interviewers never put down the whole quote or story anyways too!
Thanks icarus! I feel a little bit better again. I wouldn't know about a lot on narnia.com because the upload to actually get on the site takes all day to do on my slow PC.
