I remember bringing up an idea a few months ago, if not a year ago! I was considering the idea of them showing a flashback of Miraz banishing the Seven Lords or something. (yes I realize his appearance was unannounced, but who knows?). What if they just showed the Pevensies
So that everyone realized that it would have occurred around the timetge children returned to Narnia in Prince Caspian.

Hmm. As long as they're not in Narnia, I'm fine with it. I can't wait to see Peter and Susan again!
Well, we no longer have to try to piece together a setting for them with our imaginations. The new promo has this new shot:
To be honest, it doesn't make things much clearer to me. Using GIMP to alter the contrast, there are what looks like mountains and trees behind the thrones/pillars. Mountains make me think of Aslan's Country. What they would be doing there, however, is anyone's guess.
Okay, three definite pillars and shrubbery behind them along with some sort of banner/cloth thing (can't think of the right term for that).
Susan has her quiver, but I can't see her bow. I think Peter has his sword (or at least a sword). Edmund has a sword. Lucy has her dagger, but I don't think she has her sword.
Based just on the shape of the pillars and the shrubbery, my guess is Coriakin's Island. Lucy and the Book perhaps? That idea has been floating around for awhile. I don't know, it's most puzzling.
It's good to see that Susan has her quiver back, at least. Hopefully Peter has Rhindon. If they must mysteriously appear, they at least have their gifts!
What are those things in front of the pillars? They look as if they're made of metal - My first thought was that they look like the bookstands in Coriakin's study. But you know what? They look like three big chairs - thrones!! We can only see three, but there could easily be a fourth out of view.
Oh, for high-res caps!

That was unexpected. I'm still leaning towards the location being Coriakin's Island, but it is the context of the scene that has me confuzzled. If it is a spell that Lucy says, what is the spell, what is her motivation for saying it, or is it not a spell? It can't be a memory because Lucy is in Caspian's clothes. But I don't think it's in "real life" so is it a dream? Oy.
Susan does have her bow. It's hard to see, but it is there. It looks like she's holding it in the same hand as her quiver.
The lighting is also interesting. It looks like either sunrise or sunset. At the moment I'm thinking sunrise because of how bright the sky is behind them.
Well, considering the fact that Lucy is in her Narnian clothes, and that background for sure ain't England, I think we can all pretty much resign ourselves to the fact that this scene is indeed in Narnia. My bet would be on Coriakin's Island.

I have a brand new idea after studying that picture. Lucy mentions in the book that the Pevensies have visited the Lone Islands when the four of them ruled Narnia. Perhaps it's a makeshift throne area for the Kings and Queens of Narnia on the Lone Islands?
I still believe it's got to be at least part dream/spell though as Lucy and Edmund are wearing the same costumes as in the rest of the movie and not just a flashback. If it is solely a flashback, it's got to be Lucy and Edmund reenacting the way it used to be and imagining Peter and Susan joining them.
EDIT: Yep, the more I think I about it, the more I like this theory. Lucy and Edmund are walking across Felimath before they're captured by Pug and his slavers and they imagine the day when the four of them ruled over the island. Enter their thrones and Susan and Peter.
I'll probably end up being completely wrong about this, but as of right now, this seems a pretty likely possibility to me.
I sort of love that they keep showing this shot because it is so crazy. I have no idea. A dream or vision seems most likely.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Hmm, its intresting with the thrones. I'm sure there is another one, making it four. Fantasia_kitty's idea of having thrones on the Lone Islands for them is intresting.
Hmm... I feel it might be a spell Lucy says. Maybe after Aslan gets angry with Lucy for trying the beauty spell and being jealous of Susan, Lucy says a spell where they are all together and happy, to make up for it...???
I dunno, honestly. Well, its quite interesting. I hope it is in the movie because I don't want all of this curiosity to have that sort of answer.
If ends up being a great part of the story, then I might like that picture as a poster...its quite nice

There are definitely at least four thrones - if you pause the trailer right as it's transitioning from the text "Return to Hope" to the shot we're looking at, you can see a fourth to the left, just before it leaves our view.
If it is solely a flashback, it's got to be Lucy and Edmund reenacting the way it used to be and imagining Peter and Susan joining them.
That would be really sweet! I think I like that idea best so far. But I really do not think this is the Lone Islands.

Well, the reason I thought of the Lone Islands is because when you look at the thrones, they're clearly not the same ones as at Cair Paravel. The only other place I could think of that might have four thrones was at the Lone Islands because they did rule there.
I'm still thinking it might be possible that it's during the spell scene in the magician's library. Once i saw the snow again in the second trailer I realized it had a lot to do with her memory on how she first came to Narnia.

Ok, this might not be worked out accurately, but what about this idea? We know that they combined some islands, and the disappearing doorway thing in the new trailer looks like it's happening in Coriakin's garden, from what I can tell. Isn't that what happened on Ramandu's island, though, when R and his daughter came out at dawn? Could they have combined those two and done some sort of Pevensie reunion there? That would mess up things at the end of the world, though, if they all returned to Ramandu's island, so I don't know how much I like the idea...

Hmm. I still stand by my theory that this is a trailer-only shot, but I do like FK's theory about the Lone Island flashback. I think that would be a really neat scene!
Everyone is so confused by the scene...I bet it's really something simple, and the production is amusing themselves by watching us all freak out.
