[Closed] The Location of Mystery - Where are the Pevensies?

I don't think that there's much of a chance of it being someone's nightmare because it's way to bright, sunny, and cheerful. I think that it being Caspian's dream is much more of a plausible possibility. Movie dreams are dramatic, and those shots have a very dramatic feel...at least what we see of them.

Another thing I noticed about that clip of Lucy is that while she is obviously wearing her VDT clothes, her hair is done more in the PC style than the ponytail that she seems to wear for the other clips of the trailer. Just a small detail I noticed, and most likely, is nothing; just thought I would mention it.

I just got thinking, and a lot of times they put things in trailers that they don't even plan on including in the final cut of the film. The whole "I am Prince Caspian" shot never made it into the movie, and they filmed it just for the trailer. We've already stated that this teaser trailer was not for the fans, it was for the average movie-goer, and maybe seeing the four Pevensies together triggers Narnia in everyone's brain. I don't see the motivation behind it otherwise.

Um... Not to seem rude, but this topic is pretty much just going in circles at the moment! :D

I did notice something while working on a graphic for this scene:
Look at the lighting on each of the Pevensies in the screencaps. Peter is the only one with sunlight falling on his left (our right). So either they flipped that one shot (for whatever reason) or he is walking in the opposite direction.

What other things have we noticed?
1. At the Eastern Edge of the World Edmund is not wearing his vest. He is wearing it in the Location of Mystery shot. At Coriakin's house he is wearing armor (at least when they first get there. He may take it off later, potentially revealing his vest).
2. Lucy's hair is pulled back in a PC reminiscent manner in the Location of Mystery, instead of the ponytail we see for most of the movie (including at Coriakin's house). Now, it's difficult to tell, but in the Sea of Lilies scene her hair appears to be completely loose. Also, I believe I saw the shoulder of her vest. At the Eastern Edge we can not see her at all.

I doubt that the actual Peter and Susan will be in the world at all. Technically the world is called "The Land of Narnia" even though some of the parts are not called Narnia it's still the origin of the whole country.

Exactly what I've been thinking.

So either:
1. This scene is not in the movie. But come on. Special costumes for Peter and Susan, maybe a special set. That seems like a bit too much expense for just a trailer. And Paul Martin apparently thinks he's seen this scene in context (to some extent, anyways.)

2. Or they aren't "Really" there. Dream, vision, or flashback. Flashbacks are notoriously clumsy things, and dreams aren't much better. A vision or magical conjuration, however, is more likely. I.e. Coriakin the "Magician" works some magic, since it seems likely they are outside his house. I also like the idea of this being the wonderful story Lucy reads in the Book of Incantations. But I doubt it.

BTW, love the avi, Sheroo of Stormness Head! ;)) 8-}

^^ yeah, about Lucy's hair: I noticed too that her hair was like it was in PC in only that shot of her with her siblings.....does this mean something? I hope so!
I doubt this is a flashback. it just seems wrong somehow, but I may be wrong!

I've come to a conclusion that it'll be either not in the film, or a Pevensie Tribute after or during the credits.

^^ during the credits? wow, I never thought of that! that would be cool! :D

in all of this, Tony Nixon keeps saying on Facebook that "everything is not what it seems" so we may be guessing all wrong!

^ I'm really beginning to dislike that saying^ X(

If this is all Tony Nixon's doing, he'll ruin this franchise all together if it's something stupid.

I rather doubt it was Tony Nixon's doing. He's one of the actors.

Okay even though he's not part of it an actors suggestion can come true on set, I've seen it happen twice on two different projects.

Still I dislike the saying now "Everything is not what it seems."

Sometimes actors/crew members need to keep things under wrapped and not make fans riled with sarcastic and non helping quotes. If they can't say anything about it they shouldn't say anything about it at all.

That quote really makes me nervous. :-s

I can just see it now. Michael Apted was drifting around set one day and heard Tony Nixon say something about putting Susan and Peter in Narnia and exclaimed," Canon be darned! Call up Anna Popplewell and Will Moseley and get them down here right now! I want Peter and Susan in Narnia and I don't freaking care if the fans don't like it!"

/:)

First of all, Tony Nixon does visit this site, so please remember the respect rule in the future.

As far as I have seen,Tony Nixon hasn't been the slightest bit sarcastic. He saw that people were freaking out over the clip of Peter and Susan and said things to try to calm them down. Naturally he can't come out and tell what's really going on. Quite frankly, I like the fact that at least one member of the cast & crew apparently cares enough about what we think to take the time to reassure us. I'm grateful for it, even if others aren't.

Yeah, I guess it should be reassuring, but what if he doesn't really even know the whole story. He could just be calming everyone down to get more people to see the movie, (which shouldn't and isn't exactly a bad thing), but still..

It would be pretty stupid of him to lie when we'll know the truth the instant the movie comes out. :P He plays Rynelf, a member of the DT crew, so I think it's fairly likely he knows what he's talking about.

He can know all he wants. Thing is is that if he or people in general is not allowed to give any information about something he shouldn't be giving any to begin with is what I'm trying to say. All he is doing from the quotes he's giving on his facebook is leading the fans astray that this Peter and Susan scene in the trailer is going to be this huge deal, but then again it might not. It leads both ways. Still He should have not mentioned anything that would rile or upset fans otherwise.

Well barely ... :-). Jennifer I am not allowed to say too much ... but don't be concerned ... despite what you just saw Peter and Susan do NOT make it back to Narnia .. as per Lewis. All is not what it seems.

Hmm, yes I can totally see how he was trying to lead people astray with that post. I'm convinced that Peter and Susan are going to have huge screen time now.

If he shouldn't post anything that would rile or upset fans, then I guess we should demand no more trailers, Narnia.com updates, or any other movie-related media.

Quite frankly, if all you can do is post nasty accusations about the man and criticize how he uses his Facebook account, then you need to stop talking about him.

This thread is sliding considerably off topic. The question is where are the Pevensies when they are shown in the trailer is it not? Can we please drop the current line of conversation and go back to the topic at hand?
