I would adore to be part of something like this!!! Got room for a five foot and one half inch actress?[/quote
Me and you are the same height!!!!! I cant think about them not making SC. If i do i will start crying!!!! If NarniaWeb does make there own version of the book. Please call me up to be Jill!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!! We just need to hope that VDT will do well!!!!!!!
I have often thought about what I would do when the Narnia movies stopped being made. I think it would be really cool if we got together and made the April Fool's joke of Camp NarniaWeb real. This site could then include a forum for talking about Camp NarniaWeb.
Off Topic: If there will be a fan made Narnia film, I call Ramandu's daughter!
On Topic: I doubt that SC will not be made. People are excited for VDT, at least that's what I got when I went to my movie theater today. The theater were selling out a lot of VDT combo packs and lots of people and kids were buying it. It was a small combo but I got one anyways When the trailer showed in front of the movie I was watching people around me got excited and people want to see it.
Another possibility is that this movie has a better release date than PC had.
And like Jillhope said above^^ just don't stop being fans and we can still use the forums.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
We could have lots of contests! And... do lots of graphics! Do a lot of Spare Oom, Ditto Town, Games and Blogs type things like we do now. And of course there are always other C.S. Lewis news to keep up with. New books and movies about him and his works.

^ That's right! Two of CS Lewis' stories are under movie copyrights at the moment.

I like the idea of the film making but duen to me living half way across the world the only help i could give would be with the scripts ect.
A few years ago, I told Tirian "By the time the last movie comes out, I want NarniaWeb to be the definitive Narnia online encyclopedia."
Hopefully the character profiles are just the beginning of that. We have lots of other stuff in mind. We'll probably work on that more after the VDT craziness dies down.
If VDT is the last Narnia movie I think the NarniaWeb will eventually just fizzle out and become dead site , but this must not happen, they have to do the rest of the series.

I know one is The Great Divorce. What is the other? *Crosses her fingers it's The Screwtape Letters*
I heard once that Walden media was doing The Screwtape Letters, but I havent heard anymore on it...

Aww, I hope not! It can still be a fan-site for the books if nothing else...

Agreed! There can be no fizzling! I like glumPuddle's idea actually, but you guys better get moving if you want to start before the SC/MN/ whatever movie they do next hype starts up...it already has... Seriously it is a great idea! Are you guys gonna do anything for the places? (ie. Charn, Archenland, Narnia)
Maybe we could put a few Narnia based games or quizzes up...

Personally, I don't like fan movies. They're usually under budget, cheesy movies that aren't worth the camera it was shot on (and the camera used for those are usually low quality too)
No, no fan films. I'd say that our best bet is to get the word out there about The Dawn Treader. Invite your friends, and, if you have the money, buy tickets for your friends. You've got to tell people about it so that they can plan to go watch it.
The more money that The Dawn Treader makes in theaters, the more likely that The Silver Chair will be filmed. The only way for The Dawn Treader to do well in theaters if for people to go see it.
I expect that The Dawn Treader will be an absolutely amazing film and will not disappoint. If this is true, and it doesn't fail our expectations, the only people to blame if it fails is us.

Uh, no it wouldn't be our fault. NarniaWeb is a tiny portion of the movie-viewing audience and not responsible for the world's movie viewing habits. We all had quite enough of the guilt trips last time when PC all but flopped, thank you very much.

No, no fan films.
I agree that the majority of fan films are amateurly produced, but that doesn't mean all fan films are bad. Take a look at this, if you're into Lord of the Rings at all...a 40-minute LoTR prequel that has incredible makeup, costumes, locations, and special effects and it was done on a $5,000 budget.
And I know it's disheartening perhaps, but we, the hardcore fans of Narnia, do not have the power to significantly influence revenues on the scale of hundreds of millions of dollars. If every member of NarniaWeb invited 50 friends (and there's no way we could come close to that if we tried), that would generate about $1 million to add to the box office. $1 million is unfortunately barely worth diddly-squat when it comes to judging the successfulness of a theatrical run. If the movie fails, it should be the fault of the studios for bad marketing/productions/etc.
Just a little thing to add about this abandoned fan-film idea....I thought it was okay to use material as long as you make no profit from it???
