If VDT bombs at the box office, it is pretty much certain that the film series will not continue. What would this mean for NarniaWeb?
Since this is a very real possibility, why not start brainstorming just in case...
NarniaWeb's tagline is "#1 source for Narnia movie news". What could NarniaWeb's new focus be?
What could we, as fans, do instead of spending all our energy anticipating the next Narnia film? Make our own version of a SC/HHB/MN/LB movie trailer/full movie through a huge collaborative effort?
Or instead, perhaps we would just simply become a pleasant online community united by a common love for Narnia?
This is weird, I was just talking to my mom a few minutes ago about what I would do if night ever fell on NarniaWeb, and then I log on and see this thread.
LOVE the idea of the fans banding together and making our own versions of the films, maybe by manipulating preexisting animation and voicing the roles, or if enough people could act in front of green screen. . . . I don't know much about amateur movie making, but it seems like it's got possibilities. That would be an awesome way to pass the time even if SC is greenlit.
If VDT is the end, I'd hope NW could go on just being a Narnia fan site, because there's so much information on here and I'd hate for it to be just shut down. There's always something to talk about with the books and the films that have been made. I know I won't stop logging on if the movies end with this upcoming film. Too much great discussion to be had around here!
But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that VDT does great at the box office and NarniaWeb can keep on reporting movie news, and I hope the site and forum will be around for years to come. I love this place.

I know there was a huge collaborative project to make a Prince Caspian trailer after LWW came out, but that it ultimately fell through when the person who was in charge of putting together the final product stopped logging on. But they got really far into the project, and I don't see why there couldn't be a successful attempt. Lord of the Rings fans have made incredible fan films (just search for "the hunt for gollum" on youtube).
I hadn't thought about green screen, but that idea could allow multiple NarniaWebbers from around the world to play different parts, provided they had a good enough camera and green screen! All the different characters could be green-screened next to other characters on top of a background. That would be a really cool project that I'd love to be part of.
I say, if that's the case, we should all have filmmaking contests. Make it a "Lion Party" style thing, where fans in certain parts of the country get together, and each makes an adaption for the contest.

Well then I'm guessing we could shift from news site to movie site... and Just plain old Narnia news site...just whatever we do...
Don't let it die!
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
If there's a fan-made Narnia movie being made, count me in! Acting, scriptwriting, etc. I would love to be a part of it. I have experience in (amateur) filmmaking and acting!

Or we could make a fan-made movie about NW
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
^^ LOL!
*sends in a video* "Hi... I'm Riella... this is me... at my computer... at NarniaWeb... Umm... this is my GIMP! The one I use to make graphics... for NarniaWeb...."
That would make an interesting movie...

I would adore to be part of something like this!!! Got room for a five foot and one half inch actress?
Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air... ...your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
I'm 5'0, with long curl, Narnian hair, and I look like a Hobbit. (What is the most Hobbity Narnian character? )
And I'm an author, so I would love to help on a script. I've directed amateur flims before, too.

Oh we could dramatitise it... the three realms anybody
AAHHHOOO!!!!

omigosh... I would die. Then reanimate myself to play the part of a character in a upcoming fanfilm, which of course would be just as good as the lord of the ring fan films, that is kinda odd, if you think about it. Why don't we as Narnia fans ever make fan films, but the other fans do. Odd. Cause if you search "Star Wars Fan films" on google you come up with about a billion results, half of which are horrible.
Either way. I already vote that Glumpuddle plays Puddleglum in out imaginary adaption.
If you ain't first, you're last.
If there's ever a fanmade movie, I could help with music composition!
I don't know Puddleglum (the NWer) would make an awesome Marshwiggle We need tryouts!
This is why we need the history thread- It'll give us something to do when the movies are over...

I know! I know!
NarniaWeb... THE MUSICAL!!!!
