Narnia already got saved from the White Witch and Miraz! VotDT isn't about saving Narnia! it's about finding the 7 lords!

They didn't delete the phrase. They deleted the entire synopsis and replaced it with a different one. This means nothing.

I'm hoping it was an exageration. I'll be extremely dissapointed if they try to make this movie another "epic" Prince Caspian

I mean, VDT is epic, but in its own way. It's about discovery and exploration, not big battles and "SAVING THE WORLD!". I do hope that the unfathomable fate has disappeared for good, or else I'll be extremely disappointed in the filmmakers.

I hope that there's no more of this need to 'save' Narnia in VotDT.....LWW and PC already did that!

I think it was just dramatic but vague, and I'm hoping to find it didn't really mean all Narnia was in danger. After all, it was in danger in the last two films!

In the book Edmund specifically asks if everything is going well in Narnia and Caspian specifically replies *checks book*, "You don't suppose I'd have left my kingdom and put to sea unless all was going well. It couldn't be better. There's no trouble at all now between Telmarines, Dwarfs, Talking Beasts, Fauns and the rest. And we gave those troublesome giants on the frontier such a good beating last summer that they pay us tribute now." If that's not a clear declaration that Narnia is NOT in any danger than I don't know what is!

I simply stated the factual truth. It's not as if they deleted the term "unfathomable fate." This is simply a totally different synopsis. That is a fact.

Well, the change in synopsis makes me feel better, though as many said- not entirely. I'm still hoping for the best.

but changing the words may mean nothing.....if they said unfathomable fate before, why would it change, even if the wording was different? for all we know, maybe they changed it but it still is unfathomable fate????

If there is something I learned from LWW and PC is it's not good to get your hopes up too much until you actually see the entire finished film.

Posters, trailers and synopsis are MADE to get people excited and promote the film regardless of the quality of the finished product. The fact that they also reveal tidbits of the actual plot in the process is almost accidental. No promotion material for any movie ever gets made with the intention of letting fans down, keep that in mind. Nobody would be crazy to keep promoting a film using a few words that could put hundreds of fans off, even if the movie remains unchanged.

And this is the sad part - or the good one, depending on how you see it... We'll only be 100% sure the movie's any good or whether there are drastic changes to the story once we've seen the whole thing in theaters.
