'That beach' from the transition in Prince Caspian

If you plan to visit New Zealand and see some film locations, the famous beach called Cathedral Cove might be on your list.... the government has already put it on a list of places they will charge overseas tourists to visit.

The idea is to reinvest the fee money into the places. It makes sense for Cathedral Cove; its access track was badly damaged in 2023, but has now been repaired.  I have been down that track (not an easy stroll), and the beach and rock caves were wonderful.

Cathedral Cove was used as the beach in Narnia not far from Cair Paravel, where the four Pevensies found themselves after being pulled out of a railway station by magic.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
