With December 9 (LWW release date) coming up in a little over two month's. I was curious if anyone else watches LWW or PC on it's release day.
Every year since the Fellowship of Ring came out on DVD, me and my sister have always watched the lord of the rings trilogy (Extended Version) and Narnia on it's release dates and we always have a food to go with it.
Most of the dates fall under the month of December so me and my sister call it our Fantasy-Fest. :) Our Fantasy-Fest schedule is as follows

December 9: Watch the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe w/ Turkish Delight
December 10: Watch Prince Caspian w/ Roasted Apples and Ice Cream (We also watch PC on May 16, since that is it’s actual release date)
December 17: Watch the Return of the King w/ Merry and Pippin's Victory: Salted port (ham) and a roll
December 18: Watch the Two Towers w/ Éowyn’s Stew: Chicken Dumpling soup (Extended Version)
December 19: Watch Fellowship of the Ring w/ Sam's Breakfast: Sliced potatoes, ham, and a roll.

So, are me and my sister the only ones who watch Narnia on it's release dates? :-
If this is the wrong place to post this, feel free to move it. :)

I never really thought about it...but a very interesting idea! I usually watch when the mood hits me! :)

I usually put it in and watch a few scenes. Just for old times sake.

Wow.... has it really been nearly four years since LWW released? It feels like much longer than that.

Very interesting idea! Not something I had thought of doing before. I have had a Narnia marathon (if you can call it that when only two movies are involved :p ) but I didn't have it on the LWW or PC release date.

This is something I may consider doing this year; sounds like fun!

I'll always be a,

I never watch it on it's release date either DVD or in theatres. I don't watch it in theatres because I live in a small town and there are no movie theaters. The closest one is eight hundred miles away by plane with no roads connecting.

I never watch it on it's DVD release date because as I mentioned, I live in small town so we don't get newly released DVD's until at least a week after they release.

It has already been discussed about watching the Narnia movies on their release date anniversaries.
So now I had a thought:
why not watch Narnia on William Moseley's Birthday? or Anna's? or Georgie's? or Skandar's? or anybody else in the cast (or crew.....)!
what do ya'll think?
:D :) :D ;) :D

Oh, I used to do that, until I got too busy with schoolwork &etc! I did it for about two years after LWW came out. It was fun and gave me another excuse to watch it. :P The downside is, I've had to abstain from the movies for awhile because I've watched them so much that the feeling is no longer there. But it was fun while it lasted.... :P

If we watched them every time one of the cast or crew had a birthday that would be what? About once a week? Can anyone say AH.
I don't think that the movies would be as special if I watched them that much. On the anniversaries and maybe on the main character's b-days would be OK though! =D

That sounds like fun! I like to have some Turkish Delight about the place, which makes for a good excuse to watch LWW any time.

I'm intrigued that you watch LOTR in reverse order, 7chronicles! :)

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Just a heads-up to people, I merged the Fantasy-Fest topic and Watching Narnia on Birthdays! topic cause they were more or less discussing the same thing. You can see which topic posts belonged to at the top of the posts. :)

But as for me, I don't typically watch Narnia movies on a special occasion with the exception of a mod moot (which happens maybe every other year for me). ;)

Nope, I've never done that. I watch either one when I feel like I haven't watched it in awhile, I never keep up with the dates. It doesn't seem like it would avail to anything. ;))

(Btw, congrats on your 12,000th post, Fantastia_kitty!)
