The problem with VDT was that they tried to go back to their idea of what LWW was about, and completely discarded the direction they started to go in with PC. This is a result of Disney chickening out when PC wasn't a runaway hit like LWW, and has resulted in VDT having the lowest budget and the lowest reviews.

LWW- Yes! Awesome movie!
PC- Took me a while to get over the changes, but yes
VDT- I'm a bit on the fence with it...but in the end I voted yes, because the bits they got right were BRILLIANT (like Eustace for example).

LWW - a definite yes (that doesn't mean I don't have problems with it.)
PC, VDT - *sighs* As much as I hate to admit it, I did like them. They were still Narnian enough. Of course, I still have major problems with each and in both cases feel the BBC did better. I'm the most critical and the most forgiving of Narnia movies. Not sure that makes sense. I suppose I mean I will put up with more errors because I love the books so much. For example, I like the book A Wrinkle in Time but I didn't like the changes they made in the movie so I never bothered to get the DVD. I love the Narnia books and dislike the changes but I have gotten / will get the DVDs despite that.
