. This reminded me strongly of the scene in Ghostbusters which my topic title refers to.
I know I wasn't the only one because my sister leaned over and whispered the line in my ear in the theater but I was just wondering if anyone else thought of this when the scene was occurring? It detracted a bit from the suspense when I had to stop myself from laughing.
Yes...I saw the movie a few times and both times at this scene I thought...wow State Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. Glad I wasnt the only one who thought that.
I did however really like the scene. I go into movies knowing full well that there will be things done to the movie that is different then the book. Kinda set myself up so I am not as bummed about it. So I really liked the whole thing. They really looked freaked and it showed how much Eustace had changed. And come on...seriously who doesnt like a good dragon fight??

I really enjoyed this scene. The design of the sea serpent was awesome and the effects were great, too.
First, I was quite confused why it was just Edmund who had a "deeper fear", but what you mentioned above makes perfectly sense...
The fighting scene in general was well done. When the sea serpent attacked Edmund it took my breath away for a few seconds
Somehow I missed why Rhindon starts glowing blue as a consequence of Eustace successfully fighting the mist and laying down the last sword.
^^ yeah the sea serpent was so spooky/creepy/weird. very scary! I loved it!

Yes, and more than a little inspired by the Queen from James Cameron's Aliens!

I liked the scene. At first I wasn't all that happy that it just came from Edmond's thought, but then again, a random scene with a sea serpant would've seemed too cliche, so I decided I liked the idea. (But when it was killed it's body remained at the bottom of the ocean, even after the 'green mist' was defeated, so that was kinda cool) .
I thought it was well executed, overall a good action sequence.
It was a nice scene, I think. Effects were very good. The serpent was well-made, too. It was scary, actually!
But I agree about what georgiefan1 said. Its end, when they defeated the serpent and it fell down to the sea, it looked like Chamber Of Secrets' basilisk scene to me. It was very nice, after all. I like it.
