Has any information been put out regarding how long the VDT movie will be? I guess one of my fears is that the movie will be too short (among other things). I loved the fact that Prince Caspian ran at almost 2 1/2 hours (or 150 minutes), but im hoping that VDT will at least be 2 hours, though I somehow doubt it.

I'd prefer for a longer screentime, only because I love Narnia onscreen!
... so... probably more than 2 hrs, 20 mins.

Oh yes, the longer, the better. I'm sure there's plenty of material for at least two hours.
I was wondering when someone would start a topic on this!

I think VDT will reach 2 hours. If a longer version of VDT is the best version, it will make more money in the long run even if there are fewer daily screenings per theater.
I remember reading somewhere that Fox likes to shorten films to get more showings per day. But historically that studio has had some long films and Avatar is over 2.5 hours. I don't think Fox is complaining about how much that over-2-hour movie has made.
Also, there is enough material in the book for a 2 hour plus time. Whatever length it takes to tell the best possible movie version of VDT, that is what I want released. And having said that, I voted for 2-2hr20min because I think it can be done in that length of time.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
There's a lot of material in VDT. I think it's the thickest Narnia book on my shelf. Even with all the cuts the scriptwriters will be making, I think VDT's going to have a hefty screentime.
I voted for around 2 hrs., because longer than two hours and a half would really be too much for one sitting. (I know, I know, LOTR and Avatar were longer and still successful, but Narnia is geared towards families, which includes kids with short attention spans).

I think it will be at least two hours. It's a pretty long story, and the other movies are around the same time length, aren't they?

A bit over 2 hours will attract families and young adults alike.
Fans of all ages will go to see it anyway.

I think it would be great over two hours! it would be great if it was as long as the LOTR movies!

Over 2.5 hours would be wonderful, but I think it'll be between 2-2.5 hours. The previous movies were within that time length, I believe, so they'll probably stick with that.

I voted for the last one because I really hope it wont be a short 1hr and 30-whatever.
I really hope the time extends towards 135-150 minutes tops.

LWW (not including the extended 15 minutes) was 135 minutes and PC was 150 minutes. So it's not unreasonable to say VDT is going to be at least 2 hours long, maybe 2 hours, 30 minutes if they think it's necessary. Personally, I have a feeling it's going to have the length of PC, just because the filmmakers seem to be topping the previous film's length.
Whatever length it is, I'm sure it'll be awesome!
Narnia forever!
the longer the better! when I saw PC, I (of course) didn't want it to end, so the more time we have in Narnia the better!

While I personally wouldn't mind if the movie was three hours or even a bit longer, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't follow the pattern of the previous two films. As you can guess, I voted for 120-140 mins.

PC was too long. I would prefer it if VDT stayed at the 2 hour mark. I know they have to show a lot- probably more than in LWW and VDT.
However, I wonder if they made it a shorter movie, it would attract more audiences. Not many people have the patience/attention span/physical capacity to sit in a theatre for 2.5 hours.

I respectfully disagree. Each Lord of the Rings movie was 3 hours long, and they are some of the most popular movies to date.
