^^ I don't know about the soul sucking cave, but I myself would have preferred LotGK over WW, simply b/c WW is DEAD! And I guess it could set up SC (not that I think its needed.) The most ideal option is no witch!
Anyways, whos to say the LotGK won't end up being the WW as well? I mean, if she turns into a serpant at the end, maybe that is where the film makers are going- that depends on what they mean by a serpant. Even if they don't relate them, non-book fans might see them as the same person as a result.

Aslan: “My country has been made for noble hearts. You are a noble creature, and you can enter my country.”
Seriously? Really? Reepicheep can enter Aslan's Country because he's noble? It kind of sort of makes sense in a round about way. Sort of. Maybe. Am I the only one who thinks that sounds a little off?
It sounds off to me too. But it isn't quite as bad when one hears that Reepicheep didn't think he was worthy. Or may it still is wrong because Alsan could be saying that Reep is worthy. If by "noble heart," he means one who is focused on Aslan and thus is noble it isn't so bad.
I was doing some editing in my "Clues and Evidence" thread and noticed that the first report (from the Examiner) says the swords need to be lain at Aslan's feet but the one from Comingsoon.net says Aslan's table. The Aslan's country's report doesn't seem to mention at all what must be done with the swords. (It says that six of the seven swords are found on R's Island but I'm guessing he meant have been found at that point, since other sources are clear that one sword is found at Narrowhaven). So is it feet, table or both?
The group eventually arrives at Ramandu's Island and they find Aslan's table and three more swords, making it six total, and when they put the six swords on the table, the Blue Star hovering in the sky starts to come downward to earth and change into a pretty young girl, and everyone bows down to her.
Is it just me or does this imply that the laying done of the swords caused / allowed RD to come down?
Does anyone know if the clips were shown in chronological order?

What's wrong with Aslan's dialogue is that it's stupid and cheesy. That and it implies that Reep earned the right to be in Aslan's Country.
^^ Ya I think your right Bookwyrm. Reep isn;t even supposed to see Aslan before he sails off. Thats what makes it so bittersweet and beautiful.
Look I don't think that the swords literally have to be laid at Aslan's feet or table or whatever. They probably have to be brought to Aslan. If they literally have to place them at his feet or table then that is even dumber. That makes it seem like Aslan needs them, not that he wants them (for some unknown reason.)Like the Pevensies didn't literally have to sit on the thrones to defeat the WW. It was that once they are Kings and Queens, she will be dead (well she was dead before they actually were crowned, but I hope you get my point.)
If Aslan wants them to bring the swords as a sign of their triumph over temptation or whatever, that still doesn't make sense. Why does he need physical proof? And what does that have to do with saving Narnia? I don't get it.

7.We now know what the 7 swords are for. Come on, we've been asking for this and now we have it. I don't see how finding the 7 swords is any more like a video game than filling the 4 thrones at Cair Paravel is like a video game. I think they need to lay them at Aslan's feet not so much to give him the power to destroy the dark island, he could do it whenever he wanted to, but as proof that they have "defeated the darkness within themselves" like Coriakin said they had to do.
I don't think it is the same at all. In LWW there was a prophecy that when the two sons of adam and two daughters of eve came to Narnia that peace would be restored. It was a prophecy that this was when it would take place. The prophecy was not suggesting that the Pevensies becoming the kings and queens would cause the witch to be destroyed only that this was a portent of what would happen. It was a prophecy.
This seven swords thing seems to suggest in the article that it has to be done to stop the witch or the mist. It isn't really clear enough as of yet, but i think that is dumb. I would be fine with it if it was a prophecy.

I'm in denial right now. I've actually considered the option that all these spoilers are a big joke on fans.

^^Ya thats it! I'm sure thats it. It fool Narnia fans day (or week, how long are they going to keep this up?) !!!!

Can we lay off the offensive words please? Isnt this supposed to be a family forum?
your fellow Telmarine
I have reviewed line by the first clip according to the first report. The bold words are the clips. The regular words are what I think.
Clip #1
Edmund tries to sign up for the military, but he is rejected because he is too young. I love that the website character profiles says this is because he wants to get away from Eustace. But I still dislike the fact that they make it so the war is still going on.Lucy reminds Edmund that he is a king in Narnia, not where they live now. This is still sad. Back at the Scrubb home, Eustace is shown writing in his diary: "Dear diary, it is now day 253 since my wretched cousins Lucy and Edmund invaded our house … If only one could treat relatives like one could treat insects, my problem would be solved. I could simply put them in a jar and pin them to a wall." Yes! Yes! Yes! Eustace mentions the beetles or insects he loves that are dead. Plus, he is doing his diary! But 253 days, wow! Maybe, Eustace is exaggerating. But I really can understand why Edmund is desparate. Although, I wonder why he didn't try anything before.Lucy and Edmund arrive at the Scrubb house. Edmund’s uncle is reading a newspaper, and Edmund sticks his tongue out at his unsuspecting uncle. Eustace is shown to be a tattletale by blabbing, "Father, Edmund’s making faces at you!" This almost seems un-Edmund like. But Eustace is totally in character. Although, you can't tell by this that Uncle Harold is weird. Maybe he is wearing weird clothes.
Susan is seen at a far-away location, and she writing a letter to Edmund and Lucy. At least I can imagine she is in America. Susan mentions that she was invited to a tea party by a handsome naval officer. Here starts the spectulation that this is a foreshadowing for The Last Battle. Or better yet, a foreshadowing Lucy and how she not thought of as the beautiful one in the family. Susan then tells Edmund and Lucy in the letter that the Germans have made it difficult to cross the border, so they won’t see each other for another few months — clearly an indication that the story is set during World War II. Ugh! This is where the whole theory that she is in America breaks down. Although, you do wonder where she is. Upon reading that part of the letter, Lucy looks dismayed and wails, "Another few months! How will we survive?" I love this part! It kind of puts the spirit of what a disapointing summer this will be for Edmund and Lucy before they go to Narnia that is.
Still in the Scrubb home, Lucy, Edmund and Eustace discover the magical Dawn Treader painting, which comes to life. The three children nearly drown, and they on the ship, having been saved by King Caspian and his crew. Lucy is ecstatic to see Caspian again. He tells her that he didn’t call for the Pevensies this time, as he did in the "Prince Caspian" story. Yet, Edmund asks the question,''If there aren't any wars than why are we here? Eustace, who is unconscious, is revived by Reepicheep, and he immediately clashes with the mouse. I wonder if Reep talks to him when he first awakes.Eustace angrily accuses Reepicheep of trying to "claw my face off." That is so Eustace like. Trying to make excuses for what he did.Reepicheep defends himself by saying he was just trying to expel the water from Eustace’s lungs. Reep was doing a sort of CPR! Hilarious! I can't wait to see this part! Eustace, who doesn’t believe that Narnia is real, immediately faints when he sees a talking minotaur on the ship. We were so right! (does a victory dance.)Narniawebbers rule! Caspian then proudly introduces Edmund and Lucy to his crew as the High King and Queen of Narnia. What else can I say?
'Stupid' and 'cheesy' are offensive words? Since when? I think we should all step away from our computers for awhile and calm down.

Doctor Who - Season 11
Hi Eustace,
My thoughts exactly on these clips in the film. I think the first half of this film will be amazing. I can see myself laughing like anything with a few of these scenes. Just really glad they seem to be going to get Eustace and Reep right. Can't wait for the scene with Reep consoling Eustace in his dragon form - it sounds like something straight out of the book. A big consolation anyway for some other parts that may stray a bit!! Personally, I think the film may actually stay true to the spirit of Narnia, just not specifically The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - does that make sense
And yes, Warrior 4 Jesus I think perhaps we could all start looking at some of the positives that have come out of all of this - or perhaps some of us could leave the topic for a few days and let it sink in and then perhaps a few things may not seem soooo bad after all. Some things sound like they could be great and after all its only a film and we've always got the book to read still
