This reminds me of when Narnia was originally a high budget fantasy series, hopeful to become the next Harry Potter movie series. When there was love for the books and a desire to give the audience a good movie.
After PC's return though, the quality of both the maketeting and the film itself plummeted into the bottom of hell.
Winter Is Coming
your right. things got worse for the narnia series after pc. after disney dropped them things got even worse. the movies are still great but without a big budget there is a lot of things they can no longer do. i miss the high budget narnia. i mean, did you notice how great aslan looked in lww? but he didn't look nearly as good in pc. i think they thought that pc would sell out easily. but it didn't
I wonder how much they spent of advertising for VDT. It looks like they had very little at least in comparison to LWW. I hope that the (possibly) low marketing budget will at least help them gain a profit.
Looking back at LWW, I feel so sorry that those times as gone. Anyways, I hope that we can still do pretty well with the rest of the series.

Yeah...I remember when LWW first came out and I was thinking "I want to be Georgie Henley!" I was one of those kids who always had their head in a book and at school we were reading LWW, then one day my teacher bought in a poster and I went insane! I 've been hooked since...I don't know what it was about LWW that was so amazing but it just is! However if I saw VDT aged 8 like I was at the time, I have a horrible feeling i'd have just been like "Meh...Its another fantasy film " I'd have probably seen it but I wouldn't have been such a huge fan!(Don't get me wrong though- I loved VDT and the poster was passable ) I really hope the rest of the series (If films are made -fingers crossed) Go back to how LWW was and then the fan base might grow, budget might get bigger etc untill we have all the factors needed for an awesome LB!!!!
Narnia is childhood...
Seriously, just give the kid the orange. He needs his vitamin C!
Hah that's funny about Ed's head, I never noticed before.
I'd have to say that besides the VDT teaser poster, and one of the JPIII teaser posters, this has got to be my favorite poster of all times.
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
sigh...those good old days. I remember when I first saw the trailer to LWW. I didn't know about Narnia then, but I was mezmorised. And the poster was so captivating. I remember standing in the movie theater and just staring at it.

They mentioned Anna standing in for Skandar in the movie companion book.
I loved those times lol good memories.............and yes the poster is amazing! I hope they get back to the way LWW was made and marketed it was EVERYWHERE! But the film had heart and sadly it went down hill from there.....hope to get that all back

Wow! I'm not British or American, so I never knew about it. Maybe it's a rumour? But if it's in LWW commentary, I have to believe! What do you think about it?
Lucy:Do you remember who really defeated the White Witch?
Peter: Yes.
Susan:No.
Lucy:Do you both believe in Narnia?
Narnians, Caspian and Edmund:We believe.
Susan and Peter:Shut up.
