[Closed] Real Statue on Real Goldwater Island

Previously, everyone suspected that instead of turning him to gold, they were going to have the missing lord be the skeleton in what they guessed was Goldwater island.
But now a picture has been released of the missing lord as an actual gold statue.

Looks like they're being more accurate to the book than we all thought. :) That's always good news.

Plus, it's in a cave, and there was a cave in the book. That's 2 for 2! :D

It makes me wonder if the place where it shows Eustace finding the gold is really the same island as Goldwater/Deathwater. They are in a cave. I didnt see a cave in the second clip. And in the picture, it doesn't seem to lead to the gorge, but straight to the ocean itself...

^I assume the cave is at the end of the gorge in the second clip, although we can't see it, because we can see the gold from the gorge in the picture (dragon Eustace is perched above it).

It would be rather illogical to have two different islands with random collections of gold objects laying about.

The link in the original post doesn't take me to the photo, only to the home page of the Narnia.com website. What's up with that?

I just posted this in another thread, but I'll put it here because I think it's relevant:

I find it quite interesting that the deathwater pool is inside the cave. My younger brother took one look and said, "I think he was pushed."

And it makes sense. You have two lost lords discover a dragon's cave full of treasure and a pool that turns things to gold. They fight, much like Edmund and Caspian, and one is pushed in. The other gathers up treasure and turns into a dragon.

(That theory, at least, takes care of the fact that the guy in the water has all his clothes on.)

I think it's because the picture was removed from that link. I replaced it with a new link. Hopefully that one will work better! :)
