My little sisters thought it was the best yet :)
My mom really liked it and afterwards said something along the lines of "Wow, that was a tear-jerker ending". That really made me happy.
And my friend said it was good. Then again, these aren't really critical people; they like most any movie.

I went to the theater with nine people total. I couldn't tell you how many out of those were book fans. But everyone I went with really enjoyed it (except me, go figure ;)) ).
However, outside of the initial group, I haven't talked to anyone off of this site that saw the movie and liked it.

My family liked it more then I did, however they thought it was nothing special and fairly lackluster. They all really enjoyed the first two. My youth pastor and his kids liked it alot though. (Although most of the time I talked to him about the movie was spent explaining why I care that it is different from the book. So I didn't get many details)

I went with two friends. My friend who had not read the book said that she loved it and my friend that had read it said that although she noticed the book to film changes, she still really enjoyed it! They loved Eustace and one friend who didn't like Ben Barnes in PC has 'changed her mind about him :) )

Narnia is childhood...

Seriously, just give the kid the orange. He needs his vitamin C!

First showing my dad went with me to a 3D showing. He hasn't read the books, but he liked it. :) But goodness sake, he laughed when Eustace the dragon first came on screen. What's so funny about that? 8-| :p

When I first got the DVD, my dad for his second time and my older brother watched it with me. My brother enjoyed the movie, but he still thinks that LWW is the best(I do too, to be honest). He laughed whenever Eustace came on screen and he said all his great quotes. He also would sometimes shout random stuff like, "Caspian, don't use a crossbow! Use a sword!" And he's almost eighteen now. See, older people can enjoy the movie too in spite of contradictions that VDT is only for young kids. ;) :p

My dad hadn't read the books, but he had listened to the Focus on the Family Radio Theater adaptation, and he liked the movie. Course, our taste in movies are different, still, it's encouraging to me.

Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.

My family didn't like it very much as a movie, but it didn't help that I whispered to my sister, "that wasn't in the book" every time there was a change in the movie. Most of my friends thought it was ok, which makes me mad and I try to convince them it was a bad movie with plot holes. I guess I should let them have their own opinion... :-s

There reaction was so-so. "Ca sada sada, whatever will be will be..." (cough) sorry. Couldn't help myself.

lol They didn't love it, but didn't dislike it, they loved Eustace though, and Ed, found the whole "Lucy-Morphs-To-Susan" thing odd, but enjoyed the scene with Aslan and Lucy in front of the mirror, even produced some tears. ;)

And they ADORED Reep! And was very VERY sad when he left, very sad he's not in the next one.

Hm, what else?

Waiting for the next film...and when told that Caspian marries that "blue-star girl", exclaimed "Really?"

I think they liked LWW best.

When I went to see VDT the second time, we went with a bunch of friends who were not fans of the movie. After the film, the only person who didn't like it was a sailor. He said that it was unrealistic sea-wise. Everyone else liked it, and though it was cool. (These are 17 and 18 year-olds) One guy who read the books said that there wasn't even that much of a change.
It is actually quite amazing how people loved it here in Moscow. On a Russian Narnia site, on the poll of What You Thought of the Film, most people said they loved it.

My biggest beef with VDT was the script. It was childish and simple. Given how well VDT did in many non-English speaking countries, I have to wonder if they didn't improve it in translation. What did you think, De De?

Yes, did the films have exact script translations?

I went to see it with two of my freinds (both 13 year old boys- non fans) They liked it and said it was better than PC, but thought it needed more action sences.

I liked the translation of VDT, but I personally think it was still rather childish and could have been done better, still, it was good and there were some awesome parts though, that I liked more in Russian than in English :)

Most of the non fans I was with liked it :) there were a few who said it was so/so but generally the reaction was positive :)

I asked my friend about his opinion. He had only read the books once a while ago. He really didn't like it. He did not enjoy the mist or the swords, but thought the sea serpent was pretty cool. I think that most non-Narnia fans thought it was ok, but the plot holes and face pacing and cheesy dialogue took away from it.

I think that non-fans enjoyed LWW then the others as PC and VDT, disliked at all. They believe that it should have ended up in LWW :-o .... But I really enjoy every narnia book and film :D
