I am very curious as to how people reacted to the movie when they have not read the book. So, this is the place to post the reactions of your friends, family, or anyone you've talked to who hasn't read the book!
My cousin, after the end of the movie, said, "I feel like I just had a spiritual experience."
My brother, who loves to critique and analyze movies, felt that it was an "okay" movie. He gave it two out of five stars, saying that the story wasn't all that great, the camera work was pretty poor, among other things. He did say though that the green mist didn't bother him at all; he actually felt it was symbolic of temptation and really liked the use of it as a symbol.
My roommates felt the same way about the green mist.
Nearly everyone I talked to found Eustace incredibly annoying and absolutely loved him.
Now it's your turn! What did other people think about the movie?

My sister had asked if Eustace was this annoying in the book - which of course he was. She was surprised by how much she liked the movie and never guessed that the dragon was Eustace until it was revealed.

I'm have to reply to this one because I went with 20 non-fans. I've got different reactions from different types of people. The older seniors and college students loved it and were talking nonstop about it afterwards. (By the way this is a church youth group I went with.) There were 5 that didn't like it very much; they said it was too optimistic at the end with the battle with the sea serpent. Pastor was like the grads. The guy that was my age, I never really asked but he walked out and in most of the time. And finally the little kids. I had a little girl next to me and she loved the movie. Some of the girls where a little scared. And one (I think she's a 7th grader) just became a Ben Barnes fan... pretty funny to hear her talk about him. Anyways, most of the people I went with like the movie.

My aunt (who has never read the books) thought it was the best one yet, and she loved the pacing (We have oposite personalities )

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
My buddie Kelsie who has never read Dawn Treader loved the movie... she just thought the 3-D was pointless. She asked me for some clarification about a couple things concerning the Dark Island (she assumed the green mist was in the book)... But other than a few things that puzzled her, she loved it.
Sadly, my brother disliked VDT. I wonder how much was my begging and pleading him (and everyone else) to go see it was to blame for this.
He mainly disliked Eustace. He did not like that Susan and Peter were hardly in it. I do not know if he ever watched PC. He has not read the books. But almost all of his complaints were about Eustace.
My grandma didn't like it. She liked the previous ones. She said it was boring and she didnt understand anything b/c it moved too fast. My brother liked it but he's a little kid, so keep that in mind. But grandma loved Reepicheep though! So that's good news.
I know this about reactions to the movie but I thought I'd say that most of my friends have said the marketing makes them feel like the movie is for small kids.

Keeper of the Secret Magic
My dad didn't say anything about the movie. He just watched for the sake of it, or so I thought. My mom on the other hand, had an interest on it. She asked a few things about Edmund and Lucy not being able to come to Narnia and Eustace continuing the journey afterward. I told her "An ending for Edmund and Lucy and a beginning for Eustace". My nephew watched it and he seemed to enjoy it. My third niece also loved it though she had her "Huh?" moments. She remarked how Eustace aka Will has a weird facial features.
My parents are nor particularly in fond of these kind of movies. My dad said little to nothing, though he did remark that Dragon Island was pretty haggard and ugly. My mother said it was Ok, but that she liked the first one more. I think they enjoyed the next time we went to see it. I yet have to take my cousin to see it as well. Personally I don't know anyone that actually likes Narnia, so pretty much I only have opinion from non-fans. My mother didn't like Coriakin as well. She said it reminded it to someone in the Harry Potter films.

I just want to be hidden in the shadows... this silence; this cold.
One of my friends thought it was the best of the three films.
My girlfriend (who hasn't read all the books, only LWW) and my brother (who's read all the books) both thought it was the best movie so far. Both my parents said it was good. They were both very happy with the ending, cuz they're very Christian, and loved Aslan's famous line. People in my church all said they think it was a good movie, except 1 woman, because she thought it was to dark for children.
Most people I know liked it, but said they liked Prince Caspian better.
Winter Is Coming
I took a friend with me who liked but didnt get the actual plot about wanting to get to Aslans country ( ) and was kind of confused when Eustace went into Narnia with Lucy and Edmund. But she though it was really funny and really loved Eustace

I have never read the book, but loved the VDT movie immensely.
My mom and sister had no idea the dragon was Eustace until the words appeared on the screen that Eustace had written.
At one point, during my first viewing, I left to use the restroom during the Goldwater scene. The theater I was in was right next to the restroom, so I was in and out in a minute and a half tops. When I came back, I asked a friend "did they get another sword?" At this point, she leaned over towards me, and said (having only read the book two weeks prior) "the swords werent in the book." She said it in this almost annoyed voice, as if she was just as upset as I that they hadnt stayed closer to the source material.
