I know a rate-VDT thread already exists. But I am finding it difficult to determine the general NWebber opinion of the film. It seems like after the emotion of the opening weekend wore off, the tide shifted.
So I thought it would be interesting to see what rating NWebbers give the film two months after the release.
It is amazing. Despite all the changes I still loved the film as a film.

Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
Mediocre adaptation, slightly better movie. 2/5 = 4/10

I voted just okay, a 3, but now I'm thinking I should have voted a 2. Only liked some of it. Most of it had me mourning the loss of great scenes from the book.

A month ago I would have rated it a 4, now I am rating a 5... The pacing has grown on me.

2.
It was VERY bad but there where things that I liked in it so I can't say that it is terrible
always be humble and kind
I would rate it a 4. I still enjoyed the movie and thought it really emphasized the wonder and adventure away from Narnia.
3 -> Not nearly as good as the first two (both 5's in my opinion). Not so much for the adaptation as much for the cheesy/preachy dialouge and the extremly rushed feel of it.
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
3. And that's being generous.
I felt the film lacked in both writing and direction but didn't find it as horrible as I thought it would be (e.g. Twilight and Transformers 2). That said, the fact I have to say it isn't as bad as those films really shows how much the franchise has fallen in quality.
"Now we shall take the adventure that Aslan has given to us!"
Narnia is Narnia, to me. 5.
"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter
I've given it 4 before, and I give it the same now!
The film is good. Not perfect, but still good! I think it reflects the themes and spirit of the book. The scenes with Reepicheep are all great!! I'm a huge fan of that mouse. Narrowhaven was a disappointment. But I still support the film.
Had I only seen it once, it wouldn't have got more than 3. So I'm happy I've seen it several times. And I'll encourage everybody else to do the same.
Two. An okay movie, provided you don't think too hard, and an awful adaptation, I'm sorry to say.
4, excellent movie albeit a bit short, mediocre adaptation. But what a joy it was to see this movie.
