^^ that is true!
well, there's no reason that they can't be attacked by pirates before the Lone Islands right after Edmund Eustace and Lucy get on board..... :D

I'm thinking this was left out of the movie. Unless the entire other ship is CGI-ed in, there's no way they are attacked by another ship since the DT was the only ship they built for the movie.

I would actually like the addition of a pirate attack. Perhaps it survives in the finished film in the form of the "Bell Tower" scene. Or maybe it is part of the epic battle at the end. The pirates might be the slavers holding Gael's mom.

I don't think another ship is out of the question. A lot of this film was shot in the studio. The pirate's ship might be part set, part CG. They didn't necessarily have to build the whole ship.

I would like to see the Pirate attack, it would add some action without straying too far from the book. Here's a thought, maybe Ed, Lu and Scrubb get captured during the attack and Caspian rescues them later with Bern's help. Although I don't like the idea myself, I wouldn't put it past them.

I think they could incorporate some of the pirate attack action further in the movie with the Pevensies already on board. That big of an action sequence needs to have the main characters involved. While I realize that we have 2 of our 5 main characters on board(Caspian and Reepicheep), it would still be a little dry without our other 3 characters, Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace. This would probably be an "optional" thing for me with my choice of scenes for the movie. I will most likely not miss this scene if it is not in the movie, in fact I won't even walk out of the theater saying "Oh they didn't put the pirate scene in. Bummer." In fact, I had not even remembered the scene until I saw these posts.

I saw the movie....and was disappointed

I think the film's Bell Tower Skirmish will sort of be in place of the book's Pirate Attack, as the slave traders in this scene are supposed to slide down ropes and be carrying knives betweent their teeth. A very pirate-ish thing to do if you ask me! ;)

I really doubt that they will have a pirate attack. Like Trufflehunter I think the Lone Islands thing leaves no room for it

I don't know if they'd include a pirate attack, but the scene with Lucy with her bow is definitly not during the Sea Serpent attack, cause its pretty dark out then too. Nice idea though- I don't know if I'd like it or not though, it depends on how many other action sequences they have in the movie.
